Don't forget about the surface book. Following the recent bug squashing firmware update, I switched from a current model rmbp 13in to the surface book.

Killer piece of hardware and windows 10 is rather great.

indeed!

also gave the surface book, along with the surface pro a hard look
in the end I decided against a touchscreen, my priorities were battery life and mobility.

jumped on http://www.microsoftstore.com/store...-Signature-Edition-Laptop/productID.326871500 for $800, crazy that it is roughly the same price as my 64gb 6S.

I will eventually upgrade to a larger pcie m.2 ssd sometime down the road.

very interested in the tb15 dell thunderbolt dock (usbc / tb3), but for now I've read there are too many issues. at that point I'll give someone else here my work desktop

thank you mucho for that detailed write up you did a few posts down.

if budget wasnt a factor I would have went with the book, I don't really have a 'need' for the book so it would have been a hard sell. It does look fun though!

I have the SP4 and I have a screen flickering issue. Not a fan of how Microsoft handled that one.

The xps 13 is a wonderful laptop. One of my favorites.

I was mostly stuck on battery life when considering the SP4 and didnt get too far into reading other issues. From what I could gather the nontouch 1080p version of the xps13 really takes it to school on battery life

We do have a guy here with a sp4 that is growing to learn and love it but he has not used it docked with additional screens yet (he has a desktop), if that is when the flickering issue arises? Again the sp4 looks more fun, like the book

in a way the xps13 is the most boring, practical choice :p

Just looked over my shipping notification and realized that T-mobile left off the company's name. I hope UPS doesn't think it's a residential address and show up late.

Still no shipment for me yet. I think I missed the early boat. All Tmo orders are probably now shipping on launch day. Bummer.

I just hope I don't miss out on those promos...

TMO variant here.

I can't replicate what you are seeing. I even tried opening the same game. If it is a real problem, no telling how wide spread it will be.

So far only AT&T but no one other than folks who preordered at BB will be able to chime in now with that carrier. Demo units in their retail stores all have done what I described.

It happens on t-mobile devices in demo/retail mode as well. So far you and someone else who tested (I think it was Fernandez) did not have the issue so that is good and narrows it down a bit.

Could AT&T devices have a hardware issue, think the device is in retail mode still somehow, or would it be software and what app perhaps one is using? Maybe they want their customers to see only very vivid colors. :)

Ugh, I contacted T-mobile and they said that UPS doesn't do pick-ups from them on Saturday (which was when the label was created) so the delivery won't go out until today, for tomorrow.

I knew nothing was going to happen Saturday, but I thought they loaded everything up Sunday so it'd be already in transit on Monday.

Probably for the best, I need to back up my iPhone anyway.

I called and TMO broke the news to me as well. I left work early just to sign for the package .

Just returned my S7 and went back to 6s. The s7 has the same bs lag as usual, it's sad because it's a beautiful device. Samsung should just drop the touchwiz.

Still? TW is why I don't see going back as fantastic as the new devices are. I just can't trust it.

Hopefully others don't have these problems

BB just got more S7 Edge + devices in and have more than enough now to fulfill preorders. Damn! :)

The gold is awesome looking and you will not see "Samsung" on the front as much as the black one. Double damn! :)

Some people will complain about anything, and yet some will complain about something they didn't ever really have in the first place.

Damn, HiDEF. That sucks.

T-mo really needs to change that whole "we only ship to the billing address" nonsense. Allow people to choose or at least give us the option to have it shipped to the closest T-mobile store.

Just got my s7 edge at best buy.it's laggy setting it up because it's syncing all my email, photos, apps, texts, what's app etc and runs hot but now after its done it's thing the phone runs pretty smooth.

Let's just get this out of the way: All phones can lag.

So can the S7 lag? Sure, probably on the rarest occasion or during something intensive.

I've seen my S6 lag once in a rare while. I've seen my iPhone 6 lag once in a rare while. I've seen my iPhone 5S lag actually kind of often. I've seen Nexus devices lag. Etc.

And that's it. There's nothing else that needs to be said on this front.

Don't go to BB or any carriers if you don't want to buy one of these. I warned folks back when about this. You will end up walking out with one when they are in stock even if you were just browsing.

Don't say I didn't warn you! :)
