Chicks dig 'em.

Chicks over the age of 60

I knew there was something wrong with you. You need professional help man, Im serious. No one makes 17 threads about how a pixel shift between 2.0 and 3.0 annoys them to no end and can talk it off as "im a graphical designer." You have OCD and a few other problems. Its just a phone, I had to get rid of my iPhone when I moved out of my parents' house recently until I could pay for my own and I didnt have any withdrawals. I was fine, you'll be fine too. But then again I consider myself a relatively normal individual...

oh man, i lol'd! :D

He really posted that?

Yeah, but does that have wi-fi?

No but it has MMS. ;)

TheSpaz: All I can say is I'm glad you picked that as your username... nothing else has been so fitting. On top of that I consider you a MacRumors legend. They should pay you. Kind of like people pay others to use products and tell about them, they should pay you for your post count and legendary topics.

I've never understood people who buy a gadget and then obsess relentlessly about it, how much it costs, what condition it is in, etc.

If you have to make some kind of huge sacrifice to have an iPhone then you probably shouldn't have one and instead put your resources towards something else that is more useful. Amazingly, for many of us, the iPhone is a great device that improves our productivity in incredible ways. Now I carry one device with me that lets me check email, listen to music, watch video, and access the web. Nothing is better than being in a store and going to pricegrabber.com to see what an item sells for online, or using the Amazon App to 1-click buy something I just ran out of, or killing some time before an appointment playing iShoot or Dig it! You get the idea....

The bottom line is that it's just a phone and there will be a dramatically better one coming along in just a year or two.

If you bought an iPhone and you can't afford to immediately pay cash money for a replacement if something happens then you should either get an insurance policy for it or get a more affordable phone.

Noone needs an iPhone, but apparently a lot of people think they do.

I think saying the iPhone is just a phone is like saying a Ferrari is just a car. Yes on the surface it may just be a car but most people think of it as more, a lot more.

My iPhone is really just a phone. I love it, I don't know what I did before it (well I do but it required more talking and less typing). Hell I am not even sure my phone works but wifi and 3G does.

I'd just like to point out that in about 3 hours this thread racked up 115 posts.

Or about a post every minute and a half or so.

... I think I've almost had it with the iPhone scene... but I don't know yet. I'd probably miss it as soon as I canceled my contract.

Spaz..I'm one state over..If you need an intervention, let me know. At the very least,I can come up there with some booze and hookers and make you forget about all your iPhone woes....

For me it's a tool. It's a gaming device. It's my ipod. It's my phone. It keeps track of my bank account. I check my email with it on the train. I can calculate tips, find restaurant reviews and post them, find out what songs playing them. It's my GPS. My "PSP". My morning newspaper. It's more than a phone.

Have you checked your phone bill without the iPhone? It's just $30 less... You pay the same price for unlimited texting or minutes if your on any other family or single plan...

Umm send me the booze you keep the cheap dirty whores.

this has got to be one of the most funniest Threads on here. :D . I got over the worries of having an iPhone. It's just a phone, begin accepting the flaws, one at a time. Trust me, it gets easier everytime; you drop it, think you've losted it, quit checking your water sensor after you use the BallonAnimal App. :D

Gets easier everytime!

To be honest i feel pretty similar to the thread starter. I think people with a touch of OCD or have an addictive personality can be mentally swamped by the iphone. I hate my iphone for dominating my life somedays. Actually i think the closest analogy i can draw is Golem from LOTR.....it's defo a love hate relationship i have with mine. Think i miss the freedom of a gadget free existence......im sure anti technology will be the new trend soon

Take an vacation from tech, I do that sometimes only problem is I can only stay away from the computer, iPhone and the PS3 one day.

I'm fine with my addiction, at least I'm not using drugs, yet.
