Evan Blass has shared hi-res renders of the Pixel 5 (black and green) and the Pixel 4a 5G
Not at all.....the AI built into the Pixel is unmatched in the smartphone space. Then the post processing algorithm is the best in the business. You don't have that kind of intellectual IP without spending big $$$ to develop it.
Then again FaceUnlock and Soli are hardware.....You don't know what those 2 things are do you?
that is true but is not relevant to our discussion...then you know those are hardware solutions.Yes, I do. I also know that Google got rid of Soli for the Pixel 5 and the fingerprint sensor is back, too.
One of my all time favorites was the "panda" model lolGreen looking nice. Still think they made a mistake going away from the two tone gloss and matte of their earlier models, but there we have it.
I think Google is doing the right thing with the Pixel 5 and made a mistake with the Pixel 4 with too much useless hardware that kept the price too high.that is true but is not relevant to our discussion...then you know those are hardware solutions.
I'm not really sure what your argument is as it relates to pricing. The 4a exists, which boasts the best image quality and software experience, at the price point that the Nexus line used to occupy. The Pixel 5 will come in $200 lower than Pixel 4, while having a dual camera system, 5G, and other features like wireless charging, etc that we have come to expect of much more expensive flagship models.Yes, I do. I also know that Google got rid of Soli for the Pixel 5 and the fingerprint sensor is back, too.
I actually held on to that phone for much longer than I should have (the display was horrific) because of that color setup. Lol.One of my all time favorites was the "panda" model lol
Well I disagree that FaceUnlock and Soli was useless hardware as you stated. What might be useless to you is very useful to others. The Google did release the 3a..4a to people that did not want flagship specs.....I think Google is doing the right thing with the Pixel 5 and made a mistake with the Pixel 4 with too much useless hardware that kept the price too high.
By going midrange, they should lower the price as well.
Are you getting the 5 and ok with losing these features?Well I disagree that FaceUnlock and Soli was useless hardware as you stated. What might be useless to you is very useful to others. The Google did release the 3a..4a to people that did not want flagship specs.....
Are you getting the 4a or 5 now that it matches your budget? Are you getting the 5 and ok with losing these features?
I've been using Nexus and Pixels since they came out. I'm using a 3XL today and skipped the 4 because it didn't have the fingerprint sensor and was too expensive. Are you getting the 4a or 5 now that it matches your pricing requirements?
Do you have any Android phones? What is your daily driver?
yeah it really sounds like a useless argument...or arguing just for arguments sake. Don't like the P4XL...buy the 4a or the 5.I'm even more confused now, ha. The 3XL launched at a price of $900, and the 5 will approve upon it in every way for $300 less. Again, what is the argument here?
I'd call it 'paper towel green' haha. We had recycled paper towels this colour in primary school. Or preschool or whatever you USA folk call it ? haha.I wish the green was more of a true mint color. It's somewhere between a sage green and mint green.

It's fine. I appreciate that it's different than other greens we have seen, and if I was buying this phone then I would probably go for it. But I'd rather have the mint green power button from Pixel 3 vibe.
