Man its still overpriced. Especially if you hold it up to the S20 FE. Around $600 it makes more sense. Google just cant get a handle on the market. They put too much value in their software and customers wanting stock android.

Looks like lots of add-ons included though. Didn't really see the details I wanted to know about the phone...

Pre ordered the sage Pixel 5. Can always return if I don't like it. 4a 5G would have been my preference for the bigger screen and white, but can't order them yet.

$699 is still a bit high for this mid ranger, and it's already back ordered to shipping in November. I'd feel better paying $599 at most. Compared to the OnePlus 8T and Galaxy S20 FE selling for much cheaper, and better spec's, this $700 price tag seems a bit insane.

And you know what's worse, buying it now for $700 + tax, and come Thanksgiving Friday it will be $499.

For this to replace my P4XL...the camera would have to be out of this world better than the P4XL.
Not a fan of the FPS on the back to be honest. I really like FaceUnlock.

Lol but we got 4a a month later

Well I don't think the UK has got it first I think it's just sold out quick in America if shipping isn't for a month now. That generally always happens after a Pixel event in USA if memory serves me.

But yes, odd the way they went about the 4a release here!

I think you really did at least appear to get it first. I was refreshing the page as they talked and as soon as it came up was showing shipping nov 4 for free shipping.

Oh interesting. The event slide when it mentioned availability said available Oct 15th in 9 countries. Strange.
Either way I'm pretty hyped about the launch. Finally they seem to have got it right! Let's just hope the phone lives up to it...

I also ordered the Sage with an October 30th ship date. After thinking about it longer I’m going to cancel and just wait 3 extra weeks and see if they offer any deals on Black Friday.

The green one is so gorgeous. But iOS 14 makes me never look at another Android device again. I’m just so happy with it, especially widget stacks. Game changer. ?‍♀️

Odd that UK gets $300 Bose headphones and US doesnt get **** besides some free trials to Google services like Google One. Thats pretty bad.

Overall the phone looks good. Id be tempted to run the Pixel 5 with no case since its aluminum.

Well, as expected, Samsung beats Google to the punch with the S20 FE at the same price.

Oh and what happened when they said telephoto is more important than ultra wide? And what will happen to the radar stuff? Did Google give up on their FaceID-like system after just one iteration?

I've always been a fan of the Pixel devices, you get buttery smooth OS. It's just in regards to features it leaves a lot to be desired, whether its in the operating system or hardware.

Couldn’t watch live, but thankfully I didn’t! Such a dry launch, and when people actually were talking, they picked the WORST camera angles. Why do I need to see the side of someone’s head while she is talking to me about a product!?

Anyway, glad they are bringing “Hold for me™“ to my tried and true Pixel 3. Will have to weigh the specs and benefits of the 5 before I take the plunge. Since I still have features coming to my phone, and another year of free google photos uploads, I am not sure I am ready to change my Android device yet.

Makes a nice change, we usually get a case.
