Not everyone changes their mind like the wind…!
As someone who has used both the P6 and P7 Pros a lot of this janky poor hardware stuff is totally overblown to me.
And it’s really starting to aggravate me that people keep throwing Samsung and Apple in as devices that are far far superior when in actual fact it’s just not true. Samsung phones have always had a camera lag so for all the great hardware chops I still can’t get a decent photo of my dog in low light. Or at all if she’s moving. Pixel doesn’t have that problem with its “inferior hardware”. But each to their own.
This isn’t me saying people haven’t had issues. There’s many that are well documented. Overheating and poor battery being just two as we all know. I too was frustrated with battery on my 7 Pro vs other devices. Pixels are great phones if you’re looking for a “smart” phone with the best camera on the market. It also has the cleanest version of Android there is and if it’s not customisable enough then you can just use a third party launcher.
Ultimately you need to stop letting others sway you. 😊 Only you can decide if the phone works for you or not. Like I say, I’ve had the last 2 pixels and had every flagship iPhone in between them and always returned to the pixel. Try it out, see how it fares and if not for you send it back.
I'm in 100% agreement with this, people seem to jump on the bandwagon that somehow the Pixel hardware is inferior to both Samsung and Apple and that Google are somehow producing mid-tier phones in comparison. I'll never understand why people think Apple & Samsung are superior products. I had zero hardware issues with my Pixel 4XL and the 4XL was a long time ago.
Let me tell you about my recent Samsung experience...
I've owned my 1TB Z Fold 4 since launch, always kept in a case and carefully looked after it. Loved it. This was due to go to a close friend in Italy this weekend who prior paid for it. However, this week, I opened the main screen only for it to stop opening fully and I noticed the inside screen protector coming away in the middle. I now have the real hassle later this month when I'm back in the UK of filing a Samsung UK Repair to get it collected & repaired under the 24 months warranty. Mega frustrating. About to experience how effective Samsung UK post-sales support are.
A quick Google search and it's a very common hinge problem with Samsung's Z Fold 4. This is 4th generation of their Fold too. So any current Z Fold 4 owners just beware; this issue sounds like not a matter of if it could happen but when.
On the software side, one of the primary reasons I sold my S23 Ultra was the diabolical shutter lag affecting moving shots, particularly in low-light. I've never seen such poor camera shutter control on any Pixel or iPhone. Samsung never fixed this properly.
This all may sound like I have it in for Samsung, I don't and like where they've taken the S series. Their folds are still not yet ready for prime time imo. What I'm saying is, in my ownership experience, Samsung don't always get neither the hardware or software right but this usually gets overlooked by the masses.
To those considering a Pixel, stop basing your views on others judgements, epecially on Reddit, who have likely never owned a Pixel. You're buying into the best software user experience, the best progessive AI and best camera quality on a phone.
