The headphone jack on the front looks messy. Why not just have an extra USB port and use a dongle if you need to plug wired headphones in? I really don’t get the dongle hate.
It's perfect, except the Power Button![]()
I can’t believe they still didn’t fix the mouse
There most certainly is if you work on a Mac with for a living and depend on the MM2 working consistently. There's nothing to fix.
I think that port is the only thing that makes sense on that mouse.I can’t believe they still didn’t fix the mouse
Then Apple should fix the low charge notification. Telling me in the middle of a busy work day that the mouse battery is critical at 1%, instead of long before that (like 20%), is an epic design fail. They should just bundle them two to a box because that's what you need to avoid lost wages from the downtime.I think that port is the only thing that makes sense on that mouse.
I know, really unpopular opinion but they just didn't want people to use them with the cable on, that would wreck the cable so they made it impossible.
The rest of the experience is just trash.
Better notifications would be good, charging is rare and fast. Then should fix the low charge notification. True. Dynamite would be better. There's nothing to fix.
I picked up an M3 iMac a few months ago to replace my 2012 Mini but just may get a new Mini for my vacation cabin.Who here is a weirdo like me who was most excited for this new Mac Mini?
I'm a weirdo too then. I think the new Mac mini looks amazing. I bet it'll feel even tinier in person than it looks in the photos.Who here is a weirdo like me who was most excited for this new Mac Mini?
? There’s nothing an Apple TV 4k can do that the mac mini can’t. What would be the point? It can even run a TVOS simulator under Xcode…They should have given it the ability to be both and AppleTV 4K and a mac, using a 4K TV as the computer monitor as well.
I just ordered the new Mac Mini M4 Pro 24G/1TB, and am trading in a 2021 M1 Max Mac Book Pro for it ($1055 credit). That was my work computer and my company let me keep it as a parting gift when I retired in May. I never used it for anything but as a clamshell desktop computer anyway. I already have a MB Air M2 as a personal laptop. I have two LG 32" 4K monitors I use and they should work fine with this, just as they did with the MBP.Who here is a weirdo like me who was most excited for this new Mac Mini?
Did you notice that they described the new Mini as 'more mini'? 😃
While you are at it, you should check B&H. They sometimes have good deals on new Apple hardware.I'm going to wait for Black Friday, maybe Apple or Best Buy will offer the new Mini with free USB-A to USB-C adapters or a USB-C Thumb Drive
I never turn mine off. And set to power back on in an unlikely power outage.Gonna miss that back corner power button.
