You're out of your mind. Multitasking on my work issue Samsung tablet is horrendous. I hate having to manage all the open apps that I only opened to get some small bit of work accomplished and then didn't need the rest of the day. On iOS I don't have to worry about those apps sucking my battery dry as they'll save and close automatically. Android is just plain wasteful in this regard.

Chill. I'm stuck on Kitkat at work and it doesn't have actionable notifications. Just infuriating ones that I always have to clear. Ain't nobody got time fo dat.

I did some quick research and found nothing on it. Apparently I was mistaken. If someone could post a video showing the benefits I am interested to see what Android is doing.
You've obviously got an old tablet and old software, but slagging it off as if it's relevant. If you are still on KK, it's nothing like the modern Samsung tablet software. My tab S has MM and flies, multitasking like a beast, you can have loads of apps in memory, not an issue. Maybe try to get your systems dept to upgrade..

Meh, I'm running stock TouchWiz 6.0.1 on a nearly year old note 5 and it hasn't slowed down and runs like a beast.

Too much BS in this thread. If you are using a flagship device from recent years and it's glitching and lagging, you've either got a dud device or you've screwed something up. If it's an app doing it, surely you have the nous to figure out where you've gone wrong and rectify the issue.

If it's a nasty cheap as POS, that'll be the issue, don't go spending 100 dollars and expect 500 dollar performance, if it performs, sweet, but don't expect it to be hassle free.

Slightly? Are you insane? Do you have any idea how much **** i had to disable or delete to make it work at what i call an acceptable level? I remember like it was yesterday when i took it out of the box and went through a setup process. Also that setup process. Calling it long would be understatement. So when i set it up i charged the phone and took of to work. first few days when i got back home it would be at 30-40% battery level at the most and i was barely doing anything except few calls and message and some web browsing during a break.

When i disabled all that **** ( all the worlds instagrams, drop boxes, ondedrives, and goole ****.) it now would be at around 70% battery when i got back fro work. Joe the average or Joe that could not care less would be using this phone with all the **** enabled even though he will not use any of that and would be suffering horrible user experience.

Oh and not to forget before i did any of that phone would become glitchy as ****. After i disabled that **** it was like i had a different phone.

On iOS i don't have to do any of this nor do i get the feeling i need to to do something like that.

And this is international unlocked model. American will be much worse.
Sorry but it took me a long time to set up my IPP and iPhone SE too. Just getting the TouchID setup took a while as I thought I'd done it but then realised I have to do each print that I'll want to use (so two thumbs and a finger).

One thing with Android is that once you've registered it with Google as lot of stuff doesn't need as much authentication whereas on Apple everything seems to need my email address typing in again.

That's how it works you have to scan all the fingers you want to use. It's the same on both platforms.

But there are much fewer steps to setup an iPhone than to setup a samsung.

I think they are about even myself. I switch back and forth between and 6s+ and note 5 and S7 edge. When setting up new phones from scratch I don't think one platform takes longer than the other tbh.

I am using an S7 Edge and I had to go through a bunch of stuff to clean it up as well and have it not lag so much. Sorry but all Android phones have this issue. I have had many android phones over the years. I am actually sick of the edge design getting in my way when I told it and have an HTC 10 on its way to me now. But other than that, it is a fast phone. iPhones just work. And they are great at what they do.

I was using Lucky Patcher yesterday and thinking not bad! Check it out if you sideload PAID apps and need a verification license for them.
 That's one of the reasons why Devs don't like Android much, their revenue gets hit, don't take my words do your own research.. though android has got majority of the devices dev revenue is still more on iOS.

I like to use two phones for a certain part of the day. When both reach like under 50%, I use the other three while the other two charge. That's why everyday when I see my relatives who live next door, I will carry a different phone or phones depending on what we will be doing. If we travel, I bring the ones with the best camera and battery life.
:D you made me remember the Magicians who can take rabbits out of their Hats (No offense meant)

I've had iPhones which lagged at times, I think its endemic to high technology devices such as these. Neither system lagging was a big deal, imperceptible for the most part and mainly useful for internet forum arguments.

No I'm quite sane. My Android phones work right out of the box at a more than "acceptable" level without disabling or deleting anything.

Most do, till they keep nagging you with slowness or lag. I have owned Androids since Android has been around and will say I have yet to have a perfect Android phone that doesn't have stuff I need to disable.

I won't say Android is lag free, but that varies to a great extent. On my Samsung devices I hit occasional lag, by occasional it may be an almost imperceptible lag of an animation. I've been running my Note 5 for close to a year now, completely stock with nothing disabled and I've had no issues or any lag which affected functionality. On other devices like Motorola or my 6p I see virtually no lag, but don't use them day to day so it's possible there is some in there. It seems to me that when people cry "lag" they are crying about something which is almost imperceptible and has no impact on the use of the device. I see the same lag in iphone devices. On either side of the fence it's just such an overblown, exaggerated issue.

I think the only exception might be battery life. Out of the box the iphone 6s plus has much better battery life than my Note 5. Although there are a lot of solutions that Apple doesn't have or hasn't fully implemented, such as wireless fast charging, wired fast charging, low power modes, etc. So yes, some tweaking may come into play here, but my completely untweaked Note 5 still gets me by the entire day with heavy use which is more than enough for me. By the same token the regular iphone 6s has horrible battery life, nowhere near any other similar size Android phone, I'm shocked by how bad the battery life is on these.

Not all, mine doesn't. I think if you think that all android phones are laggy and I phones "just work", you are wasting your time with any android phone. Just get what works for you. Have you owned "all androids"?

Yes all do it. Some people are not as keen in noticing it like others.

So why bother if they're all laggy? You have the option not to use laggy phones. Mine isn't and hasn't been.

Again, yours is. You just refuse to admit it. Give it up already.
[doublepost=1465852285][/doublepost]
No they don't...

GOOGLE.COM search. I have owned at least at least 20 android phones since they came out and all were high end models. All lagged.

Yep, I had all 3 of those phones, and all of mine lagged. My S7 Edge didn't start till recently.
my S4/S5 had lag too as well.

Now my samsung device in theory is more likely to lag as I have a crap load of widgets on my home screens with on some pages maybe 20 apps on one page.

I have 12 yes 12 widgets! so if any device was to likely lag it would be mine but so far no issues at all. Each person's usage are different so I think like with anything it depends what you have on your device.

My iphone has lagged and froze the past few days in certain situations but mine is on beta so maybe that might be playing a factor.

He does not need to back it up as it's you thats making the outlandish claims that every Android on the planet lags...the onus is on you to backup your claims.

Oh, well you correct me, you need to back it up. It's the way things work. That is your opinion. FACT is, most androids lag period. Go to androidforums and ask them. They are well aware of it.

So the S7 was great out of the box?

The onus of proof is who's again?

Most Android phones start lagging after sometime. Specifically due to how Android handle processes. Best to restart the device from time to time and it gets better and refrain from downloading random apps. There are a lot of crap apps available for android.
