Well… I should have visited an Apple Store before ordering the 41mm

The S/M band is too small. I thought my wrists are 170mm. They’re actually right at 180mm. The largest setting on the sport band is too small to be comfortable with regular muscular movement, so I have to do M/L. Can’t use the S/M orange band comfortably. Probably going to sell the leather band and S7 41mm watch separately to recoup costs.

For the fun of it, which size looks better?

The 41 is just on this side of usable but 45 all day. Chargerstore does sell an m/l hermes orange 41 but I think you’re best just sticking to the 45 life unless you’re dying for the exclusive bright colors they do the 41 bands in

I feel like you have the wrist size that makes the 45mm work. I was imagining the 45mm looking like the Ultra 49mm based on how your previous description of “techy” sounded.

That said, 41mm doesn’t look bad at all!

In the end, fashion is a personal choice… go with what makes you feel/look happiest, independent of what other people might perceive.

Just to make sure I’m not misunderstanding your message, you think 45mm is a better fit for me visually?

Show me with not the M/L 45 band?

And it would be both visually and to get the benefit of the bigger display (which is my story haha)

Also I should reiterate from a bunch of pages ago, I highly recommend having both Hermes sizes as well, for access to all colors. I just feel like at 180mm, it’s just pushing it. I mean the Hermes bands themselves are only 175mm max?

Both watches have their respective M/L band. I can reduce the 45mm watch down one hole size, but it’s not as comfy. I can also increase the 41mm band by 1 hole size, but it feels looser than the 45mm. Probably doesn’t help that the 45mm is well broken in and shaped to my wrist at this point.

Speaking of - today I learned that the 41mm band isn’t just shorter. The holes are also closer together individually.

If I had to choose one for comfort alone, I want to say the 45mm feels best.

Do you have an s/m 45mm sport band to model on the 45mm watch? I just know how the M/L perches the top of the watch above my wrist.

My wrist is 180 as well(give or take a few mm)

I rock S7 45mm and Ultra 2 49mm without any problem. Ultra is a tiny bit big but people with smaller wrists wear it all the time. I wear a M Alpine Loop and could probably wear a large if I wanted the metal hook to not be close to the bottom of my wrist.

Every once in a while I throw on the GFs 41mm AW and it feels way too small, but have been wearing large watches for a while.

I say 45 mm is the way to go.

it really looks ridiculous. It would be unacceptable if it was a ten dollar Chinese knock off. But for what Hermes charges it is “extremely” unacceptable.

For those with a S9 Hermes, does anyone use the double tap?

I rotate between my U2 and S7 Hermes, and I really miss it when I have the S7 on. Not enough to spend out £1300, but really miss it.

Just wondering how many of you use it.

I've only used the double tap once (on my Ultra). I was working in the yard and had to turn off the timer. It sounds like you use it a lot. How do you use double tap?

I have a S7 and S8 Hermes and use double tap on both of them. Just turn on assistive touch in accessibility… works great. I love it.

I know how to turn it on and how to use it. I was curious what folks use double tap for. I personally have only needed it once.

I’ve done Double Tap a handful of times where I was washing dishes or something similar and just did not want to tap the screen with wet fingers.

It’s a nice to have but not a killer feature.

I use it for dismissing notifications mainly and also for timers. I tried assistive touch and could never get it to work very well, but the double tap on the U2 seems to work 100% of the time.

I've been using the accessibility feature on my Series 5 for well over a year, so that's what I got used to. When I upgraded to my Series 9, I tried the double tap feature but I didn't like using it. It's much more limited than the accessibility feature and I quickly became impatient with it, so I went back to accessibility which is a much better experience for me.
