To verify, you do have a Series 4 Hermes Edition, correct?

Its funny you say the. when i connected to att they sent me an email saying my series 3 is now synced to my number. But it is a series 4. its a 44mm case and number is A1976. Might have to go to apple.

Not the member you asked but I’m 160mm wrist and here is it with the 44mm. Pictures always make the watch look bigger than it is.
Plus you can get additional holes added at the Hermès store if the band is too loose. That’s what I’ve done and now it fits perfectly.

Thank you for that! I went ahead yesterday and took a long trip to the Apple Store which carried and had in stock most if not all the Hermes collection. I ended up with the 44" I had a 42" in the past and I love the way it looked. My wrist is actually 175mm when I measured at the store.

I went with the Rallye Fauve Barenia. Now I am contemplating exchanging it with the Fauve Barenia deployment buckle, the only thing holding me back is that the Rallye has more of a grained leather texture which I like but, the deployment buckle seems to facilitate putting/taking on/off the watch easiest and maybe maintaining the leather better? idk....

With your wrist being only 10mm bigger than mine, just know that the 44mm deployment buckle will sit kind of on the side of your wrist instead of flat against the bottom part, making it not that comfortable.

Observations on Hermes S4 40mm Bordeaux/Rose from a newbie—may be TLTR!

Question: Is SS particularly shiney and mirror-like this year? I didn’t like my first AW S0 in SS, so haven’t had one since, but this HS4 seems much less industrial looking.

The leather double tour band is exquisitely soft and pretty. it is also too short for me as I anticipated after joining this group discussion post launch order. I can order H single tour version when available or buy high $$ eBay options more quickly. I did order cheap Chinese HDT knockoff, but it arrives AFTER my 14-day return window.

The orange band fits in first hole and is surprisingly attractive, particularly with Ambre face. Using orange and black sport bands, plus my pink sport loop.

The Hermes faces are fun and I haven’t used a regular AW face since HS4 arrived at 6 pm last evening. “Always on” option would be perfect for these.

Conclusion: The only dilemma is the regular stainless steel case vs the new AW gold stainless that arrived 9/21. Altho the GSS color disappointed in general, it does look good on the left wrist with my all yellow-gold band and ring.

The regular SS has always looked odd to me as I have considered watches “jewelry” and favored yellow gold. My long-used S0 was a yellow gold-plated one off eBay 2015-2017.

That said, again, this HS4 is very shiney, exudes its own charm, and most people seem to wear stainless watches independent of their other jewelry choices.

Must decide this week which S4 to return.

My Series 4 Hermes arrived yesterday. Had the 3 and loved it and I love the larger screen area of the 4. I liked how the band was in the felt packaging and was pleasantly surprised to see Apple is still including the orange sports band with the Series 4.

I went with my wife to look at them and she was set on getting the gold SS. After trying them on she didn't like the look of the gold and thought it would "get old" fast (style terms lol). In the end she absolutely fell in love with the SS silver and Hermes collection just took it over the top. I have one myself and don't think it's overly shiny, it's just SS.

What is your wrist size if I may ask, I keep thinking I'm doing these measurements wrong lol

The finish of the S4 SS is the same as S0 SS. Purely mirror-like polished finish, like any other polished SS. I think it looks super nice—I can’t stand the matte aluminum finish bodies as they look toy-like to me.

I second that. When the S4 were announced I thought I am just going to get a aluminum finish and save the money, that didn't go far once I saw them live... They look even cheaper this time around.

Well, my excruciating indecision between the 44mm and 40mm sizes may be coming to a conclusion. I picked up a 40mm in fauve leather yesterday, grateful for the 14-day return policy so I can simply take back what doesn’t fit. I’d grown used to the S3 in 38mm, and the 40mm still looks fine on my wrist, even a little more proportional, but now that I’ve grown more accustomed to the 44mm display, everything on the 40 just looks a little too small. Wrist presence: 40 is a bit better. Actual stuff on the display: I’m preferring the 44mm.

If I do stay with the larger one, which came with the indigo band, I’m definitely gonna spring for the fauve strap for the 44mm size soon too. It’s gorgeous and the first I’d worn it in person.

Just ordered my series 4 indigo/carie! Was able to sell my Hermès series 3 with orange sport band for $500 on eBay. Delivery says October 23-30th... but I’m expecting that to be shorter. Anyone else with far away dates see any movement early? So excited!

Second this. If your wrist is even close to 165 DO NOT get the deployment. I did last year and it was ungodly uncomfortable.
Did you feel the discomfort immediately? Or is it like some spicy hot sauce in which the first taste is not bad but then it just builds and builds up to something very uncomfortable. My wrist is 191mm and max that the Hermes bands can take is 195mm, so the deployment does sit kind of on the side of my wrist instead of flat against the bottom part (as justywusty described), but for me, I'm guessing, on the other side the wrist. I tried on both the regular pin buckle and the deployment buckle and felt the deployment buckle only a bit less comfortable than the pin buckle. But I only had it on my wrist for a minute. I wonder over the course of a day I would hate it??

It was immediate. Last time I’ll purchase directly from Hermès too cause they don’t take returns once it’s been opened.

Sounds like you got a good resale price for your HS3, around 50%. Was your HS3 orange band used? Or was lightly used or virtually brand new?

I used it a lot but it was in great shape. Watch car with apple care until 2020 too so that helped. And I got to keep my favue band so I’m happy. I was also able to get a slight $40 corporate discount of the Hermès series 4. Not much but every bit helps. Super excited! Hopefully it doesn’t take a month.

Thinking of ordering an extra Hermes band but need some insights.
I have the clown single tour and also an older saphir bleu epsom when they offered it.
Thinking of getting the regular fauvre barenia or a feu epsom.
Leaning towards feu epsom but the pattern will be the same as my blue one, but then again I'm not sure if I want to spend 400$ on a fauvre barenia since I've heard it gets dirty quite easily.

If you want a covert swift calf band I have a extra one for sale. Willing to let it go for a reasonable price.

I measure my wrist essentially in reverse. I put the sport band on, then measure from the center of the pin to the center of the hole I use, which feels most comfortable. The super precise size of my wrist is less important (to me) than the size of the band that feels comfortable. Maybe counterintuitive but that's how I roll.

How about the Ebony band with the deployment buckle. It's $539 though. The Deployment is a cool idea for buckle but you probably want to try it on first to see if it's comfortable for you. You got the multicolor clown so the Ebony would be more subdued, but not boring.
