is the one for onyx and the other one above is for Alien Skin which is the nanotechnology film front and back.
thanks for getting back to me. I am wondering what the point is of putting an alien skin over the onyx is. Reason I ask is the liquid coating is not an inexpensive item for something that is susceptible to scratching, i.e. not bullet proof and it seems the alien skin is much tougher. Also is the code good for just the back, worried about application of a protector on the front and do not normally do screen protection. Is your really good and easy to apply? Is there a guarantee for application as I always screw these things up!
Are you planning on making a video with instructions for Alien skin back install?

Everyone, I have personally emailed back and forth with Steven. There are no issues with nanostate. He explained that they were overwhelmed with the amount of orders and are busy catching up.
He also refunded me shipping on one of my orders.
I look forward to using their products. I will also post pictures of the finished product.

With these companies I wonder if it's delays in the fitting of the skins, lack of raw material, low daily production capacity of their cutting machines, or lack of employees able to package and ship product that causes these backups around a new product launch or sale.

Can I also add, nanostate came here to answer my questions regarding a different product, they then kindly gave me great advice and even offered a voucher code to macrumours so they can try out fhe product at a reduced cost for jet black owners. At no point did they just come here to tout for business, why would they need to, the products speak for themselves, and as for delivery, if they hadn't offered a code to us all, they wouldn't be so swamped. It's not like most of us have our bloody phones yet anyway
This is NOT the official video but nanostate put this together quickly so we can see how Onyx protects from scratches. It was posted on page#10 of this thread. The official video should be available soon per nanostate. I ordered the Onyx with free Alienskin back on 9/25/16 but I haven't received an email that it has been shipped (I live in United States).
Should I be worried about scratches on the JB using an Apple Leather case? I've been trying to reserve a matte black as a replacement for 7+ with hardware issues but I somehow managed to reserve a JB 7+ today and ended up picking it up. The only worry I have now is the potential of scratching up the JB even when using a case.

As for the case, It's a low risk it will scratch if it's in a case, dust particles can get inside and scratch it, that happens with phones with much less delicate surfaces, so you would have to keep it clean, constant clipping the case in and out might eventually scratch the corners but I guess it's to early to say as no ones really had one long enough to tell. Skin option is the best, I would suggest you could just use a screen protector and stick it on the back if your going to use a case as no one is going to see it.
I will back this up. Been nothing but a pleasure dealing with Steven via email. He even chucked in a sweetener to thank me for my patience. I didn't ask for anything, he just went ahead and did it for me. Awesome!
With regards to the product, I've been using Alien Skin for almost 24 hours and so far can have no complaints. I've always used cases in the past, this was my first skin and installation was simple. Looking forward to seeing how it holds up over the next weeks and months.

Onyx looks so simple to apply compare to putting a skin on.
I ordered it today so with any luck should be in NZ not too far away! My Phone arrives tomorrow and will be going straight in a case, hopefully I should be able to keep it nice until the Onyx arrives. Will the onyx be enough to protect against missing with the lightning plug? I would prefer not to use the alien skin given I imagine it would be wrecked inside a case.Bear with me, the video will be ready in 30 mins, that will answer everyones questions about application.

Please bear in mind that Onyx will not give you the same protection as the alien skin, it's very easy to put on as well.

I can't see the plug making any damage, you can still use the skin in the case a lot of people have ordered just the back skin for this purpose. I've attached a design of the skin, you can see the corners are separate so just leave the corners off so the case can clip in and the skin will be fine. I will post a video, I hope tonight on the back piece installation for the forum.
Dear Steven thanks for the video posted. I have a simple question. You ask to repeat in total 3 times the step n.2 but is not clear for me in what consist in effect this step n2. Can you clarify ?
