I have two. my original 512 Mb shuffle and a 2 Gb black Nano.

My wife had a 2 Gb white nano but managed to drop it into the cats water dish. It is still working but the battery only lasts for an hour.

I have bought her a 4 Gb Pink Nano and case for Christmas.

Dave :)

Three:

20Gig 3G iPod - brother has it now
512MB 1st Gen Shuffle - eventually died for no reason - would still charge and play current songs but would refuse to upload/download :(
1Gig 1st Gen Nano - Love it

I have owned.....

a 10GB 3rd Gen (first iPod ever)
20GB 4th Gen
30GB iPod Photo
4GB Mini
4GB Black Nano
and currently a 5th Gen(not 5.5) 30GB iPod Video

Was gonna get a product red nano but have miraculously restrained myself and bought AppleCare for my 5th Gen instead. Best iPod i've owned to date. Also used as a backup drive.

Let's see...

Bought the cheapest first gen right after they came out. 1
Lost it, insurance bought me a new gen 3. 2
Bought wife a mini for her birthday a while back. 3
Bought son a shuffle for Christmas last year. 4
Apple battery recall thingy, they sent me new one not long ago. 5
Bought son a gen 2 nano for Christmas this year. He'll see in
a few more hours! 6

So, we've had 6, but only four at the same time.

I ordered my second one literally about 30 minutes ago. It's a white 80gb 5th gen, replacing an original (non-colour screen) 20gb 4th gen which I'm keeping for external storage.

I've had two:

20GB 4th Gen.
512MB Shuffle 1st Gen.

Everyone should post pics!

It's interesting to see you collection of iPods.

that tickled me. lol
it's kind of pointless to post pics, cause we would be seeing hundreds of identical iPod pics. lol

unless your iPod is, well, different.....

This is my 2 yr old iPod. The screen got busted up, so i took it out. Now i just use it as and external HD:

Never thought to snap some pics but that is a good idea:)

I have the following:
2-1st gens 5gb/10gb
1-2nd gen 10gb
4-3rd gens 15gb/20gb/30gb/40gb the 15gb was my 1st one.:)
1-4th gen b/w 20gb
1-1st gen Nano 4gb black

Always looking for more to add.;)

Only 1 (a 4GB Black Nano) and unless someone can help me prevent songs from running into one another (it happens in both iTunes and iPod) it will be my last. I always wanted one for the simple interface and scroll wheel, which really is much easier to use than the others, and the tight integration with iTunes, which makes downloading to the device clean and simple. but why do songs run together? And before you ask, no, I don't use iTunes 7 gapless (I'm on iTunes 6), and crossfade is disabled.

EDIT: The old MusicMatch/Rio Nitrus combo that was my previous setup never had this problem, but OTOH I never used them much because the Nitrus was so clunky.

idk what to say... i was going to suggest to turn off the crossfade playback, but what you are descibing isnt something familiar to me...

Yes, I know. I've asked this same question many times before on this forum and on Apple's forum. and nobody can seem to help.

iPod 2G 10GB (Died)
iPod 2G 10GB (Battery is dead)
iPod 4G 20GB (Died, wouldnt work half the time, got mad with ex, smashed with fist)
iPod photo 20GB (Works :D)
iPod shuffle 512MB (Traded a copy of XP Home for this)

no, don't get me wrong, i wasn't criticizing you. it was just a suggestion....

Three

First was a first gen 512 MB Shuffle (I had been WANTING an iPod for long before that, but never was willing to plunk down the money,) then immediately decided it wasn't really what I wanted, and bought a friend's 30 GB 3G iPod off him. Later, I sold the Shuffle (to the same friend,) and bought a Nano. (First gen, 2 GB, White.)

The 3G iPod's battery is now barely functional (we mostly use it in one of the docking speaker systems, but my wife would like to use it at work,) so we might upgrade to a new 'full size' iPod soon. I think I'll wait for MacWorld to see if the long-rumored "true video" model comes out.

i havee two.... The 60 gb black video.. is that 4th gen? and a new orange shuffle... i like the shuffle alot but am waiting in anticipation for the enxt video ipod!!!:D :apple:

How many ipods have you had?

In order:

1G (still have - future collector's piece, surely?)
2G (still have)
3G (sold immediately - hated those touch over-sensitive buttons!)
4G 40GB (an Anniversary gift from my wife - drive died exactly 1 year on... and no AppleCare)
Mini 4GB pink (my wife's Anniversary gift the same year - perfect match or what? :) Click wheel died just out of warranty, now used as a TechTool ProToGo volume)
Shuffle 1G 512MB (Audible freebie, later sold)
Nano 1G 2GB Refurbished (my wife's replacement, sold on buying thr 4G 20GB, see below)
another Shuffle 1G 512MB (Argos cheapie - £24! - sold when the 5 1/2 G 80GB came)
5 1/2G 80GB (from my wife/Santa this year)
4G 20GB (my wife's Nano replacement, John Lewis sale in January, immaculate and with all accessories including dock, £39!)

- Apple sure is getting some repeat custom!
