I have not been babying the battery today, and after 4 and a half hours of usage over a 12 and a half hour period, I am still at 51% battery remaining.

This fits with me typically seeing about 9 hours of usage over a 24 hour period off the charger.

Conclusion of battery testing on my iPhone X A1865: for days where I don’t need to use Waze much, my iPhone X averages 9 hrs usage (%100 to %1). When I need to drive and use Waze, iPhone Averages 7.5 hrs usage. It really depends on what apps are being used. If I am streaming music on Spotify, then can boost battery usage time significantly.

IMO, running your iPhone battery %100 to %1 too often probably isn’t best for battery longevity.

Battery life is fine... but this thing is like a Fidget Spinner--I can't seem to put it down!! Charging once a day.

Since I got the X I haven't seen the low power mode alert yet unlike with my 6S however, the battery life is not great and definitely worse than on iPhone 8+ in my opinion.

Today, I am at 36% battery left after 4hr 39 min usages and 13hr 13min standby

My usage and standby is the same today. Is this normal?

There’s a glitch

I have been using iPhone X since day one and my observations is that I typically charge my phone once every 2 days, when asslep and with a good percentage as a leftover (between 20%-35%).
A few days ago, I plugged it in after 64 hours on standby and almost 11 hours of usage, with a leftover of 19%. This was an exception though due to my work shifts.

I am pretty happy with the battery so far, although I am considering buying a solid power bank.

There has to be some background process running the whole time you are plugged - it might help if we knew what apps are using the most % by showing other screen shots near the top of the page, AFTER you tap on the little analog clock" icon to the right of "Last 24 hours | last 7 days" section.

Also, if there is a background process/app that is constantly crashing and re-launching it can do this.

Try recording 4k 60 fps you people would not get more than 2 hours usage iPhone X has the worst battery I had it sold it

I read it was actually almost 3 hours of 4K video recording, but don't recall if 30 or 60fps. I do hope that Apple can get more run time with future iOS updates, because while the phones can run on standby for a really long time, actually using any of them on iOS 11 kills the battery faster than previous models on iOS 10.

Yesterday took several 1080p 60 fps videos and a long timelapse, 2.5 hours in total. Battery went from 100 to about 60%, sparingly did some LTE browsing as well. Quite good, considering brightness was also near maximum since shoot was completely outdoor.
11.2 battery life in general doesnt seem that good compared to the initial 11.1.2 that i got my phone with.

Mine is doing the exact same. Posted a thread about it too.. I still get the same amount of battery life so I don't believe it is affecting the phone negatively. Seems possibly something in iCloud may be the issue. Ive tried a reboot with no luck.

Doing a hard reset works, same happened for me once i updated to 11.2.

Yeah did a hard reset when I first noticed and it didn’t help.

Did another one this morning when I noticed again and now have to wait till it’s fully charged again to see.

Today I plan on running the battery all the way down to zero, which I have not done yet since picking up the phone when they came out.

A quick google search and it seems it’s pretty common with iPhone X and 11.2 but this is the first I’m hearing about it.

Having the same issue.Did a full dfu restore that seemed to fix it for a day or so.Its back to doing it again. Not sure what to try next.

Just curious, coming from a 7+...

I was at 50% at 4pm today... and I worked for 5 hours when it wasn't being used. Definitely worse than my 7+/8+ but I also had background refresh on for several apps and the battery screen was showing a lot of background activity. Turned it all off and will see how it plays out tomorrow.

Yesterday I did a hard reset then let the battery go all the way down till zero and the phone shut off. Waited about an hour before I give it power again.

I let the phone charge completey to 100% before I unplugged.

So far so good, it’s reading correctly again. Shows only about 10 minutes of usage and 8 hours of standby( over night).

Will keep an eye on it.

I get anywhere between 6-8 hours usage at the most, no where near the 10-11 hrs some users get here.
Anyone here with all-LTE usage pattern on iPhone X? I would like to know how much of a difference a complete run down on wifi will last over an all LTE run down.
