Yeah i never noticed too but now :( :(

Lol, now neither matters. I have always noticed that about the iPads and actually, if you look at your iPhone or a Galaxy S7 Edge they are not centered either. I can tell it's 1 -2 mm high.

What will stop me in the near term is shelling out the cash considering what I already own and going with the unbranded directly from HTC, I would not use a jump for it through t-mobile so it won't be till the price comes down in the future for me to take the plunge.

My desk drawer is pretty close to full already. :)

I'll vouch for the A9 except for the camera which I never tried. That device performs admirably given its processor and ram. It is pretty quick and holds apps in memory very well. I had 10 or so opened on the display model at an AT&T store and recycled through them with no refresh. I came back to the store an hour later and everything was still entact as I left it while I cycled through. Remember that we are talking a demo mode device.

Hope the 10 works out for you folks, especially those looking for good quality from the camera

I've tried all weekend to find demo units in the UK but there doesn't seem to be any out there at all.

Not much promotion going on either - even mobile phone websites are still pushing the S7 and G5.

Bit of a marketing fail so far. Outside the tech crowd, I'm not sure if many know about it.

@praneethz Pre-orders begin shipping at the end of this week.

This means Verizon is getting it before those who preorder. Kinda sketchy, but at least the options are there and it is only a couple of days.
Some over at XDA they are all threatening to cancel all the orders from HTC.com if Verizon gets it before they do. They pre ordered it on day one. then VZW gets it before them? Not good PR for HTC.

When do Best Buy get demo units of the HTC 10? Does anyone know?

The only smartphones they get that I know of pre-release are the Samsungs because of their presence in that store.

That isn't the unbranded no bloat device at Verizon, isn't that what folks wanted in the first place so they ordered directly through HTC?

Yeah, I agree. Typical overreaction by the internet tech crowd. Verizon is one of the last carriers that push HTC, so they have a good relationship. It is a couple of days, and if you want a Verizon bloated phone, cancel and walk in to a Verizon store. I doubt there will be lines out the door for this thing

We should be supporting the OEMs for trying their own stores outside of the carriers. It is not an easy thing to start a supply chain like that. But some will never be happy unless they are "first".

correct. They are just upset over the timing of the whole thing. They took the time to preorder from HTC on 4/12. Then VZW opens their pre orders on 4/29 for delivery a week later on 5/5.

Well going over to XDA was good for one thing... someone linked this:

While I love Samsung’s new design language, the HTC 10 isnt prone to infinite smudges, and unlike the G5, you have no doubt it’s made of solid metal when you pick it up.

Moreover, it just feels great in hand. The curves comform to your grip, and it’s not as slippery as the S7. The heft and shape make it surprisingly easy to use one-handed.

It really does look amazing next to the other phones out so far this year in that picture.

I wish I knew if the next Nexus was going to be another phablet. If so, I would switch today. Honestly this size sounds very appealing now that I have to try to shove this 6P into shorts. It just feels too big. And speaking of sun, the brightness on the 6P is terrible. I can't see anything in sunlight even on full blast. I assume this would be better.

I'll report back on brightness outdoors when I get mine and the obligatory photo test with a certain group of pooches !! :D (MRU style)

Besides those, I guess you going to be OK with 4 hr SOT (which you replied to me that was the reviewer's estimate so you knew that going in).

I don't see any smartphone in its category (non phablet) trumping this one presently. A true beast and so long as there aren't any issues (camera not important to me) it is a better A9 which I tried many times at AT&T and I'm rather impressed with.

Although I do like the style and build Samsung went with since the S6 and refined it for this year, I do think I prefer metal phones.

Metal feels better and will ding rather than crack or shatter if you drop it. And with fingerprints an issue on glass, I've always gone with a case on S7/Note5/S7 (not a great fan of skins). I wouldn't feel obliged to with the 10. Plus, the Uh Oh scheme is nice.

Still waiting to get hands on and check the camera.

Once again showing how NO general battery reviews can be taken for fact, as any usage will be different......

The HTC 10 is much better than the iPhone 6s and Galaxy S7 in this test:

Andandtech showed the same in the web browsing test.... HTC 10 for sure shines there.
