The Android options are just so strong right now. At many different price points. It's hard for us enthusiast to resist getting more and more...!

But I'm gonna stick to my guns: Gonna wait it out for the HTC Nexus!

It's dangerous to go by MRU's photos, though. He makes every phone's camera look great. It's not really fair.

Battery life, I got 4.5 hours SOT yesterday - but today i'm down to 58% and i've only got 1hr 20 mins SOT so far (although there is a ton of audio listening in the background today - 6 hours or so ) .. so really too early to comment and as its still only just over 24 hours I need to give it more time to regulate.

It gets very warm on the turbo charger (though it charges exceedingly fast)

That's about it, the warm charging doesn't bother me too much as I do it on the bed table stand and wouldn't notice under normal circumstances. The battery - I'd be happy if it levels out at 4-5 hrs SOT, will be miffed if it levels out lower. Other than that I'm happy with the device.

Too late ordered the 10 with the code BGA posted. Now just waiting for shipping notice. That will make the 6s+ Note 5 and S7 and M10 in the rotation. Benefits if ordering from HTC is it will be bootloader unlocked. So i will be able to flash Roms

I don't flash roms but I am on HTC's website and code HTC1011 works, damn it!

I think I need to wait patiently though for t-mobile so I can jump, that saves me buying it outright from HTC and gives me time to figure If I really want to go for it.

When you go into the Boom Sound Dolby menu on the device, what are the selections available for earphones?

HTC has a few earphones listed for sale on their website, I am trying to figure out if the Pro Studio for $79.99 are the same as the hi res that came packaged with your device.

The white model it's not as noticeable as the black and in actual usage you don't even notice. A total non issue in practicality. I don't know whether it's better for the thumb but it's noticeable how incredibly accurate the fingerprint scanner has been and it is easy to reach both as a home button and a reader.

To be honest it's subjective. Some music sounds better with theatre mode some with just music mode. Just depends on what you're listening to.

I think Ill keep my order. I can always and return the device and then jump.

But I think that the $100 off, and fast updates directly from HTC might convince me to stick with my current route. We will see.

And you get the earphones as well. One can always buy them going the carrier route but most have something of good quality anyway. I am not sure what the difference for sound quality would be but if they are included anyway, ...

I thought the unlocked USA version was the version that would NOT have the headphones bundled with the phone, for some ridiculous reason.

I'd say battery life has been good, but not spectacular for me as well. Averaging a little over 4hr SOT. That's not bad, but also not awesome. Stand-by time, though, has been consistently good. And I'm still tweaking specific app permissions, so I'd expect the 4-5hr sot to be the norm for my usage going forward.

I have no reservations about this bad boy. I guess I'd say I prefer the camera in the S7 to the 10, but I'm more than satisfied with the pics I'm getting from the 10. So no complaints.

Being an audio nut, the 10 ticks all the right boxes for me there. And I've added a 64gb micro SD as adaptable storage. Definitely enjoying the audio via my ATH-M50x's.

At this point I'm just trying to decide if I want to pick up an ice view case. I've been going naked for now. Ordered a dbrand chamfered cut skin for the back to cut down on the slipperiness.

Yeah will be $50 more on Tmo than the discount, plus no uh-oh. Pretty much a wash there. Tmo gives you accessories for the price of their branding, bloat and update schedule. Should be easy enough to wash everything but the branding with root. So good deal either way.

This is true. All US variants don't get headphones. Lame.

Outside of the addicts here and on XDA then in reality if you have a mid 2015/2016 flagship already the HTC 10 was never likely to tempt you to upgrade or side step. But for those with early 2015 and earlier and those wanting a more stock like experience the the 10 is a compelling device.

Oh I am nowhere near as mad as you are but I do love upgrading at every chance I get. Nothing seems to intriguing of this device luckily to kick in that addictive habit.
