HTC is really struggling. Only a $400 mill earnings report. I think they're losing $ each new iteration right?

Looks like the a9. Looks like they did away with the htc logo by the reader though

A HTC smartphone hasn't look good to me since the S6 edge dropped last year and rehashed the M7 design for the second straight year with the M9. They keep bragging about this 10 in ads having the best camera, battery life, and audio. Let's see real world experiences and not just broken promises from marketing. HTC has never really excelled in camera and battery life. With a 3000 mAh to power a 5.1-5.2 inch QHD, I expect performances on par to the regular S7 which is beaten by its better looking edge variant already.

Local BB and carrier stores known thing about the M10 being released shortly, the old deer in the headlights dumbfounded expressions.

Probably be real easy to pick one up if retailers even get it at release, you think they would know by now if that was happening.

I cannot tell from the photo what the screen to device ratio is but it is probably better than what it has been in the past. On screen menu buttons just kill screen real estate as well which seems this would no longer have so a plus in that regard.

I will check one out ASAP.

HTC 10 is going to have 2 main models: 2PS620000 - International EMEA devices and carriers. 2PS650000 - US Carriers and Developer edition.

Developer edition?? No bloat, no carrier ties, unlocked and rootable. Yes please. This phone has almost everything going for it. I really hope the finished product is different from those leaks. Because it looks like an old Galaxy device. Bleck.

HTC has always had a developers edition for sale. Love that about them. Wish Samsung would do the same.

Looks pretty ugly to me lol. But then again, I am spoiled by the Nexus 6P and S7 Edge designs.
Yeah the design seems like a downgrade after the M7 and M8. Aside from the supposed decrease in front bezels, the rest is a downgrade. The huge chamfered edge on the back looks terrible in my opinion espescially when compared to the smooth back of previous HTC devices. I also think they could have been a bit more innovative with the fingerprint scanner as it currently looks like they tore the home button off the S5 and surgically attached it to the front. I also question the usability of it as it has a limited area where you can place your finger and I think accuracy will suffer as a result.

I'll still run to the store to have a look at it when it releases, maybe it just isn't photogenic. Based on current leaks I don't think I'll be sending my S7 Edge back once it finally arrives.

Regardless of my thoughts, I want HTC to be successful as there really is no true competitor to Samsung in the Android space now. I don't want Samsung to become stagnant as a result of lack of competition and I hope HTC is finally able to produce a competitive device after last year's downfall.

I hope their phone is a success. They used to push innovation, and the market benefited from that. The M7 is still one the best Android phone I ever owned.

The new leaks look like galaxy in the front and htf in the back. Nothing really new here. Hopefully, they have a surprise up their sleeves.

New video leak ahead of tomorrow's launch.
Personally I would get this over a Lg G5

I actually like it more than I expected, though I personally like white front bezels. It's probably the same overall size as the S7 edge with a smaller display but the cameras at least sound promising. The aluminum case looks nice, though I'm still not sure what I think about the oversize chamfered edge.

I also have a soft spot in my heart for the One M7--my personal favorite Android phone, so I hope this sees some success. Just not holding my breath.

I'd get this over the G5 is an instant and all things being equal (a stretch, I know), I'd probably get this over the S7.

my sentiments exactly....not very fond of chamfered edges as a whole either. Every HTC release makes me think of the M7 and how it impacted things. One of my favorite all time phone models. At the end of the day it's too small for me. I like at least 5.5 inch display....then HTC has to prove to me they can make a great smartphone camera.

I would definitely get it over a G5 (the modular gimic is pretty dumb imo), but not sure if I'd opt for it over an S7. It looks good, but the S7 looks better and is waterproof to boot!
My feelings too..... It doesn't come close the the S7/edge....

Dang the Samsung cheerleader bias is just as blind as my negative Samsung bias. Phone isn't even announced yet.

And waterproofing has been hinted at.... why are the Samsung fans counting it out already?

I personally love the Aluminium (+ not coloured in!) on the back and thinks it looks a hundred times classier and high quality than the glass of Samsung devices. Also probably less prone to breaking when falling out of your hand. Just wished the front would be Aluminium as well, like my beloved m7

The timing release of this smartphone with the G5, the Samsungs and even the iPhone SE out there leaves this one in question. I know the G5 is not desirable by most here but the others released leaves the HTC really needing to up its game or sayonara for the M10.

personally...i am not counting it out...read my posts. Buuuut.......they have a history have having great design on the outside....then failing to deliver a great camera when compared to the existing top notch phones.
Remember the whole M9 debacle last year? Throttling.....overheating issues.

I think last year was the unfortunate result of Qualcomm having a crappy product and HTC had to unfortunately beta test it because of the release window.

I'd still choose my S7 Edge over the M10, but from what I've seen and if the camera is as improved as they say and it's water proof, I would choose this over the regular S7 and any "regular" sized android out now.
