I have a question. I have a iPhone 6 16 GB right now and I have like half a gig of space. I'm thinking the 32 might be fine for me. I know the stock apps barely take up anything but I was reading up on the iOS page and said Pages, Keynote, and Numbers are pre installed. How much space do they take up?

You can easily delete them if you don't use them. Sorry, I don't how much they use b/c I always delete.

That was one of the deal killers w/ the SE for me (I tried one). The other deal-killers were the thickness/fatness, the small screen (too small for web browsing, which is required), the graininess of the screen after having used the Plus, and the on/off button on top, which I find less ergonomic than on the side.

Battery life was great.

Thinner SE with full screen (smaller bezels) would be the ticket.

The colour gamut is definitely a step-down, but still a retina display which is very good. I am using the SE in the official Apple leather case, and it really is not fat/thick at all. I personally seldom use my mobile for web browsing (iPad for outside, and MacBook / external display at home), although may check something quickly just for info' if needed. Button on the top is fine.

Am actually quite pleased with the SE. But everyone's needs/preferences are different.

I tried out Touch ID on an old 5S and compared to my 6S. Surprisingly, it was about the same speed to unlock, with the 5S unlocking faster than the 6S occasionally, which was surprising. So I'm no longer concerned about going to a slower Touch ID.

Haven't pulled the trigger yet, but I'm pretty certain I'm getting a 128GB SE. I'm planning to go silver/white this time. I've always gotten black-fronted iPhones, but they are hard to find in the dark. I already have an Otterbox case that my wife used with the 5S that I'll probably use for now.

Considering I was originally planning to get a 8+, I can justify the purchase of a cellular Watch 3 because phone + watch cost the about the same as the 8+ I wanted. If I have a Watch 3, I'll leave behind my non-waterproof phone when I get in the pool or go to the beach.

A lot. Maybe a couple of GBs? I always delete the ones I don't use.

Works with AT&T postpaid right out of the box. All you have to do is insert your SIM. If you're an AT&T customer and not thinking of switching anytime soon, that is a absolutely killer deal.

I assume it should work with cricket out of the box also. Could anyone maybe confirm this hunch as my mother in law is in need of a new phone and thus would be perfect.

I was all set to get the iPhone X this year, since I always upgrade to the latest and greatest each year, but now I’m strongly considering scrapping my iPhone 7 and moving to the SE.

For me, I want to be able to comfortably hold a phone in one hand and easily access everything. Even the iPhone 7 is a bit too big for my taste. My hands aren’t big, but they’re certainly not small, and I sill find it to be a real stretch to reach for the upper left corner of the screen.

My main concern with the X, and it’s already been mentioned in a few videos, is the fact that it’s a “two-handed phone.” Even though it’s only slightly larger than the current iPhone 7, the screen is a lot longer and Apple has done away with Reachability. You’ve got your docked apps at the very bottom of the screen, and then you’re forced to reach all the way to the very top of the screen to access Notification Center and Control Center and back buttons. Some people have no problem with this, but it’s pretty much a deal breaker for me. I’d much rather have a smaller, more comfortable phone that fits easily in the hand than a large screen.

I’m actually considering skipping the X and seeing if the iPhone SE gets a refresh in March. An SE with iPhone 7 specs (Touch ID 2, 3D Touch, better front camera, upgraded screen, A10 chip) would be perfect for me.

This would be perfect for A LOT of us. Really hoping we get that spring refresh. That said, I'm loving my SE right now!

I'd buy that day one.

Just got the SE in the mail. Immediately popped in my at&t sim and it has been working perfectly for me.

I miss the silver color but for $140 I can't be too picky. Space gray will work fine for me. It feels much snappier than my iPhone 5s and about as smooth as my 7 plus.

Well it worked for 1 hour then AT&T cut me off the network. I called 611 and gave them my order info and they restored service. Something about Best Buy not correctly activating these out the door (I purchased online). Everything is good to go now.

I just picked up my SE this evening. Man it's crazy that you can do everything with one hand! The screen obviously is tiny as I am coming from a 6+, but it's also tiny compared to my wife's 7. I keep trying to type with two hands :D but overall it's awesome to be able to hold the phone with one hand and do everything. The design is outstanding, it just feels solid and less fragile than the new phones. Overall, I am happy and it is an improvement over the 6 +!

Yep, I went from the larger iPhone 6 down to the SE, and I'll be on the SE-track for the foreseeable future. The small, one-handed footprint is too good to give up.

Totally loving mine and I swear Touch ID is faster than my 7, I used to have to try a couple of times to pay for things on the 7 but used the SE yesterday and it was instant, was shocked as read it was not supposed to be as good as Touch ID 2

I have an iPhone 6 (64GB) which is 2 ½ years old, and I was looking at an update this year. I usually buy outright, and keep for (at least) two years.

The price increases for both the 8 and X are unwelcome, and I was wavering in what to do, but this thread has given me something to ponder.

I have an iPad Pro (10.5") so my "big screen" needs are taken care of - a 128MB SE would absolutely give me the "sweet spot" in both storage and usability. But will they update it next year...?

Decisions, decisions.

The new X looks nice, but I want SE size-shape-weight phone with Touch ID build into edge to edge screen - Im guessing i'll have to wait few more years, till then i’ll be more then happy with the correct SE, if only i could find 32GB version...

I can't believe how many other people have popped into this thread saying they did the same and/or decided to do the same AFTER this thread. Truly, I can't get over it. I went out on a limb posting this because I figured I'd be labeled a hater, but I've gotten the opposite reaction. There's also been some great conversation in here without any crap. I love it. And again, I'm not hating on anyone who is on board with this year's release - to each, his own - I'm normally IN that crowd. No hate here, just a different perspective. Guys, I'm so proud of us - we're growing up! Hahah.

A friend of mine from work went this route. He was a die hard Samsung/Android fan. Budget isn’t a factor. His decision is based purely on size and features.

The trick for me was to ago into settings and change the Touch ID to activate on finger rest not requiring a full button push. It makes it seem even faster this way.

SE is the ideal size for carry for all occasions. It size offers the ability to take it with you to do athletic tasks like running to pocket it with slim jeans. With an A9 and 2GB RAM, it still fast even for most tasks and still looks great.

It just lacks the up dated 3D Touch ID, OLED screen, true tone color and dual camera with 3 GB RAM to make it sell even better still. If Apple included these above, I buy one even for $999!

Flash is cheap now, for additional $100 more you get 128GB instead of 32GB.
