Where did you get the clear skin! It looks nice!
It’s from BestSkinsEver. They are really good quality and I’ve been using them for years.

Yes, mine is done on the bottom too. I hadn’t noticed fans spinning up more frequently after the install and the machine doesn’t generally seem much warmer. Do keep in mind that I’ve got the weakest 6-core 2018 machine, so the thermal issues are least present on my model.I think that looks stunning... did you do the bottom too? I ask because I wonder how that would effect heat dissipation.
I installed mine on Saturday when it arrived and haven't decided whether to install the Touch Bar skin or not. Have you installed it on your machine? Here is a photo of my 16" with the clean skin installed on my 16" MBP. Its installed on the top, palm rests, trackpad, and bottom of the laptop. Again, this is a wet install so you have to do it with care but its virtually undetectable when its installed properly and keeps the laptop really clean and free from any scratches.

A skin on a super clean MacBook Pro cheapens it lets be honest. If you do it for protection sure but most are hideous and not needed unless you are clumsy....
I have the 2016 space grey 15" for 3 years and it was flawless. not a mark on it. I also brought it to school a few times a week and out to coffee shops here and there. I also go caseless on my iPhones since 2010. I guess I take care of my stuff better than the average. Still skins not my thing. They ruin a otherwise professional classy looking machine. I tend to like the way things are without things covering them. I can't stand cases and I don't want a different feel other than the glass trackpad and aluminum. But that's meHowever... the space grey macbooks scratch incredibly easily - mine's scratched within a week and it's *never* happened to me on all my other Macs I've owned (back to 2003). The space grey also collects smudges and looks filthy within moments. Same with the trackpad.
Personally I'm looking at some of those dBrand skins as a way of protecting the case. As you're fitting a skin, then one may as well go the whole hog and bling the thing up. OK, orange in a StarBurger's coffee shop would be a bit too much. But in a meeting with all the other bland plastic -- or Microsoft Surface Mac clones as is common now -- maybe orange or marble would bring some colour to the bland corporate world.
Thinking of the leather look.
Question: Trackpad sticker; what's the feel like when using the trackpad? Is the dBrand skin smooth?

Problems with the recent iPhones is they're made to be far more slippery than earlier iPhones [because that's a business strategy to sell more phones to people who've droped them]I also go careless on my iPhones since 2010. I guess I take care of my stuff better than the average. Still skins not my thing.
dBrand skins: look great, what's the texture like? Is there any texture imprinted upon the the different patterns, such as a particularly the leather-look effect.
Regarding the Toast leather covers; are they resillient to wear or do they scratch and wear with normal use? Can they be removed if they get damaged or you're selling the laptop?
I too got the BestSkinsEver. Also been using these model after model, including several 15” MBP units. However, on the 16” the top case skin did not fit perfectly. it does not cover edge to edge, there is a slight gap on the edges (not an issue on my 15”). I emailed support, but lately they are very slow to respond (and very slow to ship). I always liked this company and their products, but they seem to be a one man shop, and the 16” model seemed rushed. I hope they eventually reply and replace the top skin with a perfect cutIt’s from BestSkinsEver. They are really good quality and I’ve been using them for years.
I kinda messed up the install but overall it looks great
dbrand matte black skin with Apple cutoutWhich skin are these? Is it the Toast leather top?
Looks great!
That really does look impressive. On my screen it seems to have a slightly blue tinge. Nice.dbrand matte black skin with Apple cutout
same issue...disappointed in BSE.REPORT on BestSkins Ever. The 16" top skin fails to cover edge to edge as it did on the 15". They are unresponsive to emails inquiring what the problem is. I suggest you hold off ordering the BSE for his model until they get their act together. They may have rushed releasing the skin for this size.
I received the Naked Skin from SlickWraps and virtually every piece in the kit was oversized and would have needed to be applied with a heat gun to shrink each section to fit properly. I cannot recommend them. BestSkinEver makes a vastly superior product and fits perfectly because they under-size the cuts. Therefore it is necessary to slowly and carefully stretch the pieces as you apply them. My only complaint with BestSkinEver is the design of the trackpad and palm rest skin is made three parts and not two.
