The problem with the video you posted comparing 9.3.5 and 10.0.2 was the devices are not side by side. Slowing down the video to show the different animation does not show us the speed in comparison side by side. Both home buttons being pressed at the same time. When I did a side by side comparison of a 6sPlus and 7Plus both running iOS 10.0.2, the 7Plus was faster. I no longer have the 6sPlus otherwise I would definitely post a side by side comparison, because the difference was noticeable (in favor of the 7).

Actually, I was comparing 10.0.2 on an iPhone 6 with 10.0.2 on iPhone 7. The iPhone 6 was smoother and faster. the iPhone 7 dropped frames and the wallpaper animation started late.

I'm seeing the same exact effect on 10.1 beta 2.

Unless you can show me otherwise, I'm going to believe my own eyes.

And thats perfectly fine, as I will believe my own eyes as well. I'm not saying you are wrong, I'm just saying what you are experiencing is different than what I am. Obviously every 2 devices will be a little different.

I went from 10.0.2 straight to 10.1 B2 and the animations are exactly the same. Maybe something was wrong with your 10.0.2 install?

I set up as new when I got my iPhone 7 Plus.

I'll record a video later and show you the difference between 10.1 b2 and 10.0.2.
Considering the consensus is that beta 2 is faster, the problem is more likely on your end. Anyway, not that lag/stutter/animation speed matters much to me anyway. I'm not one of those people who obsesses over that stuff.

Mostly I'd just like Apple to fix the stupid Safari keyboard bug. That's actually annoying.

This 100%. I can live with a little lag. But it doesn't effect my day to day usage. The keyboard bug does.

The problem is not on my end. I'll show you a comparison of 10.0.2 vs 10.1 beta 2 later and they're identical. No difference.

If you're noticing a difference, then your original install was screwy.

I set mine up as new when I got my phone. I didn't transfer anything from my previous device when I got my 7 Plus.

By that logic, couldn't your 10.1Beta2 Install be screwy?

Yes its possible his 10.0.2 was faulty, but its just as likely your 10.1B2 is faulty.

Nope, if anything WiFi has seemed more reliable and is faster.

Strange. Maybe a couple of coincidences, but I've had to turn wifi on and off a few times to show networks.

Also, in settings in the wifi menu the screen locked up a few times this morning. Have never seen that before.

Let Jayson insist he's objectively right. Seems to mean a lot to him.
Lol. But it's just what's more likely. A lot of people have problems with 10.0.2 or one person have problems with 10.1B2.

But I will let it go because he seems like a good guy. :D

Hey man the animations on this beta are better on an iPhone 7 point blank. I'm tired of seeing the back-and-forth
[doublepost=1475696224][/doublepost]Anyone asking if the animations are better yes they are better end of story

I did all the hard work so you don't have to. Check out my comparisons below.

Here's 10.1 Beta 2 on iPhone 7 Plus: http://imgur.com/blkB14r

Here's 10.0.2 on iPhone 7: http://imgur.com/22QxFTy

Here's 10.0.2 on iPhone 6: http://imgur.com/jfF1eue

By the way, it takes the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus 6 frames longer to finish the animation than the iPhone 6. This is because the wallpaper lags behind.

The iPhone 6 transition is steady and smooth the whole way through, whereas the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus both hiccup halfway through the animation AND the wallpaper is static for the first half of the animation (which is also a bug).

To me 7+ beta 2 is faster but more unstable than beta 1. I had one hang in safari and experiencing no service issue.

Yeah, 10.1b1 also. I tweeted at the developer and he said they were looking into it but I doubt it's an app bug since the 6 isn't affected.

seems fine to me? Just updated to Public Beta 2

hadnt noticed issues on beta 1 in regards to that, either

Thanks for doing that. So it's clearly not been fixed then.

Obviously too early to tell but I think battery life is better this beta than the last. This is connected with both an Apple Watch and Bluetooth headphones.

Much appreciated in performing these tests, have you submitted all of this to Apple yet? They need to get the animation issues resolved. It's not the end of the world but most of us are OCD about this with our brand spanking new iPhone 7/7+ so it would be nice if Apple did something about it.

Apparently it's fine according to most people in this thread. In fact, 29 total frames on the 7 is faster than 23 total frames on the 6s!

From 10.0.2 to B2 and animations are much improved on my 7+ but from time to time there is still a weird stutter or movement when performing certain actions especially activating the app switcher
