iOS 10 Beta 7 Bug Fixes and Changes

With the number of known issues in the Release notes I would say with a 99.9% probability that this is not the GM candidate.

There can be more than one GM candidate. iOS 7 had 2 or 3 of them. They were actually seeded as GM candidate as well. I'll I'm trying to say, and have been saying for a few weeks now. I'm almost certain this is the final build. We are getting too close to the event. They would have to seed it by next Wednesday at the latest. iPhone 7s are already being built and the GM needs to be loaded on. As I have stated a few times now, there is always a 2-3+ week gap between final build and GM so they can load up the new phones.

iPad 12.9" with apple Smartkeyboard. Worked perfectly with beta 6, doesn't work anymore after installing beta 7.
pretty annoying bug.

Edit: Did everything, boot, disconnect, connect, clean contacts, looked for debris, nothing.
5 minutes later and it's working again. No idea what happend. Update on the background?

There is a left button when it's a song in your library but not downloaded for offline. The button is a cloud icon (see screenshot)

OHHHH so thats what its doing. So realisticly the icon should be there all the time then. Weird

I'm wondering when they will finally add a placeholder cover for songs that don't have a cover in now playing view/mini player. That solid grey looks awful. In general, the music app still looks and feels pretty unfinished to me.

OK so all this reset face data and person album. Where do you set that? I have zero listed but now finally it stated its scanned 7 photos and 1 to go and to plug in and lock. Never scanned anything until PB 6 apparently because mine was always blank until today. I assume once they show up is when you set the face data?

Why did they change the scrolling speed in email messages? Was there a problem with the way things were?

Why did they change the scrolling speed in email messages? Was there a problem with the way things were?

Like what? (other than the missing button deal in music) Maybe add all those to post #1?

1. Scrolling in an email is fast and not like Safari (as it was in previous versions of iOS)

2. After using punctuation in a safari field, the keyboard doesn't automatically switch back to the letters again.

3. In messages, if you start swiping from a conversation to go back to the conversation list, but let go too soon, the screen snaps back like it's supposed to, but the keyboard is like "hey I'm outta here" and starts to move to the right before snapping back into place.

4. Tapping an artist name in Music goes to that artist within Apple Music (even when you have Apple Music turned off). I used to think it was really convenient to tap on an artist name and be taken directly to that artist locally on my device and only show me the albums *i own* by that artist.

5. No star ratings in music app

6. Music app doesn't show pictures for every artist anymore. That's annoying.

7. Notifications come in with the home screen background color regardless of what app you're in. If you have a green background on the home screen, the notification comes in green even on a white background. They fixed this behavior on control center, but not for messages and I have no idea why. Why do I wanna see my home screen color behind all messages?

8. On iPad, if you have predictive text and text tools off, there's a spacing issue in messages when you tap the camera icon.

There's more, but I can't think of them right now.

There are always issues in final builds but rarely acknowledged in the release notes and certainly not when they admit that there are several outstanding bugs in Music

OH. MY. GOD. I just updated from iOS 9.3.3, opening and closing apps is instant! It feels AMAZING! There's absolutely zero delay when you press Home button.

It's honestly been stable enough for a daily driver for the past 2-3 betas, in my experience.

I agree. I have it on my only phone (6sPlus) and it's solid save for no access to BBC iPlayer.

1: Prob not a bug but a performance change. Everyone complains about slowness and when they make something fast they complain that its fast . Oh well.........
4/5: maybe a design change not a bug? Like/ dislike?
7: not happening for me. Its blurred and whatever is open before you pull down notifications, you see that in the background. Not always home screen color.

To add to your list, in contacts some of them have the message icon stating Mobile or iPhone depending on what you change the number heading to. Some do say Message. (anyone else with this?)
[Edit] Turning off contacts in iCloud settings and remove from phone then turn back on resolved the icon message title issue for SOME contacts but now all. Seems there have been a few items that have required turning off a switch then back on to resolve through the thread. Wondering if a reset settings is in order.

It's funny you complain endlessly about iOS 9 and being "slow" and then now complain that iOS 10 has super smooth scrolling in an email. Seems like you are just picky as hell and will never be happy. Nitpicking over the silliest of things.

Also it's not related to beta 7 as the better scrolling inside an email has been around since developer beta 1.

I'm thoroughly surprised that with the constant revamps of the Music app these past 2 iOS, they still haven't managed to fix the "Top 25 Most Played" playlist in which it doesn't even display the Top 25 Played but rather the Most Recent played. Obviously, not a flaw detrimental to iOS performance but rather makes that playlist pointless.

Also, are they really not going to bring back the "Group By App' notification option? I get an abundance of Instagram notifications and it's a nuisance that i either have to clear each Instagram notification or go the "Clear All" route.
