They definitely fixed something in the media portion of it as a podcast app I'm on a beta of OS no longer outright crashing to the CarPlay home screen as soon as I start playing a podcast. Now it just doesn't play instead (the dev isn't focused on 10 yet).

Also the Apple Podcast app while in CarPlay no longer crashes every 15 min like the last beta.

In general it's faster with a lot less lag while moving between apps. I've got a Pioneer 4100NEX.
And, if you don't mind my asking, how do you think Quick Replies has improved? I'm not seeing a big difference, but I may be missing something, too.

Lag. It's not laggy anymore on the 6 Plus and it feels like it should. Plus the keyboard no longer disappears while I'm typing. It only ever happened randomly while the device was unlocked to the home screen or app. Happened frequently enough to know that it's fixed now.

I don't know if it is a bug or feature
Musics are ordered by artist name only no matter what you choose (songs or albums)
And mail contents are always zoomed in when you launch app

My device is iPad Air 2

App switcher still stutter!!
What is your device? I am having the same lagging app switcher on my iPad Air 2. I submitted this issue consistently since beta 1. Apple doesn't care about this ****

As for the App Switcher. No lag on my iPhone 6 or 12.9" iPad Pro.

The quick animation if you immediately jump into an app and hit the home button is still present. It's just after you've been in the app is when the home button slow response is present. Like most have stated, I'd give it a bit of time before jumping on calling this a bug that needs fixing.

Speaker audio is noticeably better on my 6s Plus. The last two betas or so it was sounding very muffled/staticky at high volumes.

Also noticing a delay in Apple Watch notifications running the latest watchOS 3 beta with this iOS 10 beta release. After the restart they would chime on my phone first before getting to the watch and a restart fixed that but the lag getting to the watch is still there.

Isnt anyone posting their findings in post #1? Seems there are a few things changed/fixed as listed throughout the thread but not in post#1. Just helpful to see it all on one place :)

Not on iPhone. However I did have the simple setup of iCloud, diag and maybe location (cant totally remember) on iPad Min 4 after 9.3.5 update. PB7 on iPhone didnt though.

I think there is too. Also group titles are slower to appear now when you open a group. Seems they may be fooling with the animations again. Not sure what they have against the fast animations. Strange.

Maybe there were many reports of too easily just closing an app when double clicking to the switcher. The delay can be to better differentiate between single and double click.

What exactly do you mean by improved reliability on CarPlay? I'm interested. I have been having crashes and disconnects that have been occurring since iOS 8.2 more frequently in these betas and it's hasn't been fixed given the after all this time still. :/
You sure it isn't your car that needs an update? CarPlay has been rock solid in mine for most of the betas, certainly no worse than iOS 9.

This seems very likely. Some people have difficulty double clicking fast enough.

So how would you judge the performance in comparison to 9.3.4?

The No. in Album view in the Music app still overlaps the album artwork. It was fixed in beta 5 but it's back to sticking out again now.

What system font size do you use? Settings > Display & Brightness > Text Size

Mine is set to smallest. Earlier betas had font size related issues. This could be another.
Mine is set the middle as it always has been. I'll do a restore later. Could solve the issue

Equal. It could be released as a GM from a purely iPhone 6 Plus perspective. Though, I don't doubt the iPad still has some major issues as some users have described.

It's hard to really compare them though because 10 works so differently in some aspects. Being able to cancel an app launch makes it feel A LOT fast. However the new quick reply takes longer to use but is more versatile.

Nope it's been happening every once in a while during the last year no matter the firmware on the head unit or iOS version on my phone. It started happening for me since 8.2 across multiple moldes of iPhone so it's not certainly a hardware issue. And in the interim I have updated the firmware on my infotainment system about four times already.

just noticed calculator doesn't rotate when opened from lock screen control centre. anyone able to tell me how long this has been around? it's fairly obscure so probably just a coincidence i found it now rather than a beta 8 issue. may be a feature too.
