My 7+ has been running hot and the battery life has been horrible. I hope this update helps, but after reading some of the comments it doesn't look good. Will give it a day or two.

My 7 Plus was down to 20% battery life after 4.5 hours of “usage” (9 standby). Usually I’d be closer to 50% at that point.

Add to that the following bugs that still aren’t fixed:

1. Traffic in Maps turns off every time I use 3DTouch to open Maps.
2. Any time I take a screenshot on one iOS device, the download gets stuck on other iOS devices trying to download the “original” from iCloud Photo Library.
3. CarPlay frequently fails to work when I connect my phone to my Honda “too soon” after starting it. Usually disconnecting the lightning cable and reconnecting fixes this, but today I had to turn my car off and on to get CarPlay to work. This issue started with iOS 11.0.1.

Yup, I’m still without visual voicemail. AT&T swapped my SIM card today. Didn’t fix it.

I’ve already tried everything known to man to get it back.

Thanks Apple!

Did you try dialing your voicemail? I lost visual voicemail after the upgrade to iOS 11 and that got it back. Somehow the phone forgot the voicemail passcode.

Still just disconnects here (vs actually turning it off as the option in settings does).

That’s a feature, not a bug. I actually like it since it allows me to quickly disconnect from my work Wifi when I want to browse sites they block and quickly connect back to it when I'm done.

Yes, I was replying to someone that said it has changed in iOS 11.0.2 to where it actually turns it off rather than disconnects.

Every year I have always read comments about battery issues with each iOS update. I’ve had the iPhone 4,5,6 and now using 7 and never had this issue until iOS 11. I am now using an additional 25-30% battery each day and my phone use is minimal and consistent each day during the business week.

For those of you that claim you are not having any battery issues, at least indicate which iPhone you have. It would be helpful.

I lost 1-2h of battery life with iOS 11. iPhone SE here, getting 6-7h usage with a clean install (no backup restored) . With iOS 10 I was getting between 8-9h

Experiencing the same with my 7 Plus on iOS 11 and 11.1. Lost about 1 to 2 hours of usage time. With 11.1 I lost around 2-3 hours. It was horrible. However, I just restored my phone to iOS 11.0.2 and it’s looking pretty good. Don’t know if it’s a fluke.

This is right after restoring to 11.0.2. Unplugged from the charger at 100% after installing all of my apps. That’s non stop WhatsApp texting. That’s why the usage and standby times are the same. Haven’t been plugged in while using, so it’s legit.

Installed iOS 11.0.2 on my iPhone 6. Smooth OTA install, excellent performance considering its an iPhone 6. Battery life is looking very good at this point with no unusual battery drain but I won't have real results until tomorrow. I would recommend iOS 11.0.2 for all iPhone 6 users.

Normally I recommend and do full ipsw updates via iTunes but for today's iOS 11.0.2 I did an OTA update. Smooth and non-eventful. My experience with iOS 11 has been excellent on my iPhone 6 including performance and battery life. I just don't know why people continue to whine incessantly. But for the record I'm very happy with iOS 11.

How's the overall performance compared to 10.3.3? I installed 11.01 and it was sluggish so I went back to 10.3.3. Has 11.02 really improved things?

Same issue here with battery life...crazy how this wasn't detected in all of the beta releases. 11.0.2 has made things worse.

11.0.2 broke the capability to connect my 6s to my 2011 Hyundai Tucson via the lightning cable. Yes, tried replacing the cable....the only thing that changed was the iOS update.

Successful about 1 in 20-30 times. All others get "iPod Error"

Reported to Apple. Downgrading to 11.0.1

Edit: Ooh...CAN'T downgrade anymore - they force you to re-upgrade to 11.0.2 during the restore process. WTF?!

Called Apple. Told that we're not allowed to downgrade?! WTF?! Who's phone is this??? Now escalating....GRRRR!!!!

Escalated...now getting a callback from a supervisor on Tuesday. :(

So, that means we're not allowed to rollback iOS updates when they break things?! Holy crap Apple!!!

Same here. Even through the betas all was well. Its so bad now that I actually downgraded to 10.3.3 the day before they stopped signing it. I have never done that through the years always just waiting it out for further updates.

Nope. I downgraded back to 10.3.3 for the 1st time ever. Pretty much the same as 11.0 and 11.0.1 and 11.1 beta 1. Word is 11.0.3 may appear next week. Perhaps it will make some much needed improvements.

People are complaining because there are real issues. I tried 11 for 2 days and have up because of carplay issues and poor battery life.

This isn’t right....terrible battery life on my 7 plus...this can’t be normal.
