In the past few years the .1 release is primarily a new feature release with some bug fixes. Most bug fixes don’t hit until the .2 release in Jan/Feb and iOS doesn’t become mostly bug free until late Spring.
Does a subsequent beta add new features which were not provided in the previous beta. In other words, can iOS 11.1 beta 4 contain new features which were not contained in iOS 11.1 beta 2.

That can happen.

Installed 11.0.3 on my 5s - running quite well and no noticeable battery drain or lag. In fact some apps appear to be loading a bit quicker.
I’m quite surprised and pleased overall given some of the nightmares I’ve read in this thread.

Yeah, battery life and performance are better for me too. I have a iPhone 6s and the battery life was really bad on iOS 11 through 11.0.2.

Performance is much improved on 6+ due to this update. Very little lag, stuttering, or slow performance. Makes the phone much more usable

[doublepost=1508100507][/doublepost]Anyone with music controls stuck in notification screen? Or maybe it’s called the lock screen? I really don’t know cause they (confusingly) look the same on this utter pile of garbage OS

My iPhone 8 won't stay connected in my 15, Acura MDX. Guess I'll wait for the next update.

Are you connected to something else like a watch or other device at the same time?

I found out that my 8 won’t stay connected to my Audi A6 if I have it connected to my iZettle pin machine. The iZettle was on charge in the arm rest. Once I switched it off my phone remained connected to my car

Prior to that, the only way I could maintain a connection was to stream music via Bluetooth

Really wish you could stretch the Music section within Control Centre to fit across the whole screen.

That way, it'd be as functional as it was prior to IOS 11, & require 1 less step to get to it.

Blunder for a common use of mine..

Since being on 11.0.3. I have apps freezing my phone completely and the audio controls in the control panel are frequently crashing, making my AirPods almost unusable as Double-Tap and the motion sensors stop working.

I've got a 6s, I can't even seem to download 11.0.3. Anyone else having this issue? I am trying to download it at work, but we have a fast connection. I suppose it's easiest/best to try at home.

Based on what I'm seeing in the forums, perhaps it's best to wait until 11.1?

update: was able to install this morning. I'll post if I find problematic performance similar to what others are seeing.

Have someone else the problem that the widgets on the widgetpage (Homescreen - left or Notification Center - left) anytime you open them start beeing crazy because they load and then expand and decrease itselfs. So anytime you open the widgetpage they expand or decrease depending on hoe they were before.. o_O

Same experience here. My phone is almost unusable. Hopefully Apple issues a fix ASAP. This is ridiculous.

I would highly recommend doing a restore through iTunes if you have access to it. Many people are reporting a much, much better experience after doing so. Be sure you backup your device to iCloud and/or iTunes first. Best of luck.

This is placebo. Why on earth would this make a bit a difference? If we wanted the Android experience we would had purchased Android devices.

Incorrect. Not a placebo at all. When you restore through iTunes, you get a fresh full copy of the operating system installed on the device, instead of certain bits of code being inserted into the existing OS. With the latter, there is a much higher incidence of corruption to occur and can result in a slow/buggy experience.
When dozens of members on this forum post that a restore has made their device usable again and fixed countless bugs ranging from overheating, battery drain, complete freezes, lag etc, it’s not a placebo.

Having much faster battery drain (I've got a 6s); I'm down to ~ 37% and it's just after 1 pm (very light usage; occasional web browsing, email checking). Usually, I hit this mark around 6--7 pm.

Yep same on my 6S, 11.0.3 has been the worst yet, My phone for the first time won't even make it through the day. With the screen on when browsing I can see it drop at 1-2% per min. Not impressed
