Instagram, Facebook and other bid organisations who have updated their apps for ios11. I took it to the apple store regarding the battery draining issues buy they've mentioned the battery is in good health

What apps in particular? I cant imagine a x.x.X update would have app compatibility issues but anything is possible. So wondering if maybe this is an isolated issue with your device.

I also have and Iphone 6, which was given to me by my son in September. I his IOS 10 and started with IOS 11.1, i believe.
At that time I tranferred my backup from the Iphone 5c and I have never experienced any problem like that throughout every single beta stage since then. I've only had minor issues such as touch ID not working consistently in some previous beta versions and poor battery life in some of the earlier betas.
That said, I believe this current beta is very good, indeed on my Iphone 6.
You might want to do a wipe and restore as new. Perhaps some rogue apps or the type of apps that you are using are causing the issue. Disclaimer, I have never used any of the known battery hogging apps such as FaceBook, instagram, snapchat, or any of the other, battery hogging apps.I have background app refresh turned off and for the most part only use data when on wifi at home or work.

I frequently use Spotify, Pandora, Outcast, Snapseed, and Yahoo weather. I don't have the weather widget problem, ever, with Yahoo weather, by the way.

how's the ios 11.2.5 beta 1 performance on iphone 6 & 6plus devices ?
Having had much experience with older Apple devices unfortunately if you are looking for iOS 8 performance on iPhone 6 its not going to happen. If you just cant bear the performance, I recommened downgrading to 11.1.2 and doing a jailbreak. That would allow you to disable transparency and the other demanding effects and make your phone speedier again

Apple already took a look at my logs and said everything is fine. So the decreased battery life is a standard on iOS 11. My iPhone X has no issues though. Easily crossing 10 hours of use.
I’m aware you’re pissed about your battery life but saying that it’s normal and the only fix is to get a new phone is just plain wrong.

Then why apple update older devices?

I can tell the RAM on my X is better because my fidelity app used to have to sign back in every 5 min on older ios and on this beta it stayed logged in for a long time and doesnt look like it got forced closed and opened back up.

If we installed 11.2.5 then deleted the beta profile, would we ever get prompted for the public release if that were somehow numbered lower?

Love battery life now

I believe you quoted the wrong person. :) I am not having any apps issues and not running the beta on iPhone.

Even though the music player on the lock screen now shows the Bluetooth source again, it appears that the track status bar doesn’t move - just sits at 0:00 and never progresses. At least with Spotify on the iPhone X.

This is suddenly working fine. Interesting.

When you type a phone number on the dial pad the delete button is at the bottom right on the iPhone X is that new or has that been there

It's there for other iPhones as well. I believe it was something that changed in iOS 11 (if I recall correctly).
