I may be wrong but I don't think that's his issue. I think his issue relates more to the number of people now who make comments like "apple completely sucks now, they don't give a damn, what the hell happened to them", which ends up creating many comments on both sides of that issue, which in turn, makes it much it much harder to find and read all the comments that ARE simply discussing problems

I agree with him. Not to say that the other stuff doesn't have its place. Its just that it would be great if we could read a thread like this and have a filter capability to exclude all comments that have been voted "Off Topic" by a certain threshold. Thereby reading ONLY PROBLEMS, SOLUTIONS and FIXES, and not spending as much time on the other
I'm assuming this is in reference to my post that seems to have vanished. Didn't even get a notification like I usually do if somebody doesn't like what I posted.

I completely agree with you.

iOS 11 has been very solid for me (universal copy and paste is my ONLY issue with iOS 11.2), and I've asked all friends and family how its been for them. All have told me no problems.

We know that about 60% of iPhone users are now using iOS 11, and reportedly, sales continue to be excellent. So I believe your response to be persuasive.

When there are 800 million ios users out there, anecdotal reports of problems, really fail to give us any sense of the percentage of users experiencing difficulties. Admittedly, the same is true for anecdotal reports of a LACK of iOS problems.

Several companies issue periodic surveys of customer satisfaction, in which apple has always done extremely well. I guess we'll be watching for these surveys in the near future.
Apparently the mods did not agree with me as they deleted my post. At risk of evoking their ire, I think that was a bit heavy handed. I wasn't discourteous, I merely pointed out that this guy was posting (and has repeatedly posted) about issues that seem to affect only a small percentage of users. It is relevant to the discussion of this version of iOS.

Those of you with the Weather widget issue, I may have fixed mine. I previously had 10 locations in the Weather app. Last night, I deleted all of them so now the only one I have is current location - since doing this, the widget has worked flawlessly every time I view it.

Anyone else able to repeat this?

Nope, Just tried it. Same as always. Also 3D touch weather app shows same incorrect info as the widget (guessing that is the widget that is being displayed). It will update at some random time and match for a while. then all to h*** again. Unless you have to wait a while for it to update at least once. I will leave it as such until tomorrow and see how it goes and report back.

I did a hard restart on my iPhone afterwards (for some reason) and it’s been working like a champ for the first since installing 11.

Exactly! Just as I said.. battery meter calibration is a must on all modern LiOn batteries. Very palpable difference when you do at least once a month.

As crazy as this sounds, I have to agree, at least in my experience. Again, I never see any better battery performance, but the accuracy is much improved. I no longer see my percentages jump four to five percent in a few minutes or hang at a certain percentage for an extended period of time.

As always, YMMV.

Gotta' say... I'm a bit over the number of enormously large updates to iOS11.
We have three iPhones. Each one requires a different update & each update weighs in at over 2GB.
So far we've seen what? 7 updates in under 3-months.
That's nearly 40Gb of iOS downloads.
That is just absurd.
May be okay for people with a decent internet connection but we only have ADSL1 & the download totally monopolises the connection for about 2-hours. That translates to over 80hours of download time consumed by the iOS...
Awesome.

Anyone wanna explain to me how the Siri suggestion has anything to do with what I’m attempting to search?

As I have stated before, if you use the yahoo weather app the widget has been issue-free. I am on an iPhone 7.

Has anyone noticed how the app icon jumps a little bit when you close the app?

Go to the home screen, open an app and let the animation finish. Press the home button and watch where the icon shrinks back into. It moves a little bit.

Can someone tell me if when the next public update releases that my iPhone on 11.2 beta 6 will update to it ok? I’ve deleted the beta profile but this is the first time I’ve tried betas and I can’t update to the public release of 11.2 as it’s the same as beta 6.

Thanks.

You’ll be just fine, provided that you’ve rebooted or reset at least once since removing the profile. That step is important in getting back on the public release cycle. If so, you’re good to go!

ipad pro user here .batt life not as good as 11.1.2. going back to previous os

I tried this on my 7 and don’t see the app move.

I understand but that has nothing to do with the native weather app being discussed here. :) Which works perfectly on iOS 10.3.3 just is broken after 11.0 and remains so thru 11.2.

I understand the frustration and sympathize , just surprised how much traction the native weather app discussion receives when there are better free alternatives available. I also hope Apple fixes this for all who use it regularly.

Iphone 6s should i update ? I'am still on 10.3.3

Judging by your own words, you have thoroughly tested iOS 11 and clearly expressed your opinions.

So to answer your question, no. You should not update your 6s to iOS 11.

Dont update unless you like the new features. Your phone will be laggy for sure ( older phones like 7, 6s, 5se ). It will never be as smooth as 10.3.3

I dont know why 7 is laggy. 6s was released with 9 and 10 is perfect. Iphone 7 was released with 10 and should be perfect with 11. Ios 11 is crap.

Maybe you dont care enough if you have little lag. Its not the same . Tested on 7,6s,5se. Little lag is always present.

Good for you. Ios 11 will never be so good as 10.3.3 on older devices.

Ios 10.3.3 SE > 11.2 SE

Its better than 11.0.1 , 11.0.2 ,11.0.3, 11.1 but not as good as 10.3.3

Yes but i love the new features so thats why i ask to see different opinions.
