Anyone a bit disappointed with 11.1? Could have been 11.0.2

Fixed some issues, created some new ones, but it should get better throughout the beta process

No. But I would expect beta 2 as soon as this upcoming week (probably Tuesday, October 3rd - with iOS 11.0.2 coming this Monday). As this seems to be a short beta period for iOS 11.1 (needs to be ready for iPhone X), I expect a beta drop on a weekly schedule.

I am a little confused. When 11.1 betas are out, how are we expecting 11.0.2 to come out even while 11.1 beta is under testing.

11.x.x releases are minor bug fixes. They don't send them for testing, while 11.X releases usually bring new features and are "Big" updates

I'm happy we have Madscotsman with us here so I'm not waiting like a "iOS update addict" every Monday and Tuesday at 7PM (French time for iOS releases) anymore.

The only .x feature I see is the Message in the cloud feature. Everything else (e.g. Apple Pay Cash) will not be part of the beta released to the developer/public testers.

Latter feature will not be available until officially launches the services - probably with the final release of iOS 11.1.

That’s the only thing I could see happening, unless they threw something new at us. I’m sure most of the work being done is for the X, like camera improvements for FaceID and fast charging (for the 8 too).

Those animojis better be perfect on launch or we may have a revolt.
