Yes, but thats not typical. Since 9.2, most X.x updates don't go to PB beta 1.

Every iOS 10.x beta 1 was available to both - developer and public beta tester. It makes no sense to skip the first beta for the PB as they based on the same code basis as iOS x.0.

For the major upgrade it makes sense to skip the first beta for public users as they are often based on a new framework. iOS x.1 already has a common framework to build on.

And yet that's what Apple was doing may least for some time.

Can someone send me a link to the profile? I'm on my new 8+ and don't have it installed yet.

Given 11.1 is likely to ship on the X is this going to be one of the fastest beta periods ever? Or go straight into weekly releases?

It might be weekly releases. I don’t see us having a beta for Apple Pay cash; guessing iMessage sync will be turned on in one of the betas. But this mainly seems focused on optimization of speed and animations and hopefully battery so that their new high end phone isn’t hampered by buggy software. My guess is the final build will be late October allowing for all the manufactured devices to ship with it, OR they’ll release with iOS 11.0.1 with an immediate update to 11.1. My guess is they are already running an X build of 11.1 though given the UI elements in this version that weren’t universally present in 11.

Madscotsman, do you know if a fix for the crackling noise in iPhone 8 is on the way?
Someone said it is fixed in 11.1 but I hope we won’t have to wait one month :(
