Hickup is fixed.

11.4 is Not for June. June is iOS 12

Nothing says that 11.4 can’t come out publicly after iOS 12 is released to developers. iOS 8.4 came out on June 30, 2015, several weeks after iOS 9 was released to developers.

Once it was clear Apple was releasing iWork’s and GarageBand updates today, the writing was on the wall for no 11.3, beta or otherwise. They almost never release iOS updates on the same dates as other large software upgrades. Probably taxes their delivery infrastructure too much..

11.4 sounds kind of boring like it's all about ClassKit. Like 8.4 was about Music, but more niche. I hope I'm wrong. But at the same time, I hope they're focusing on making iOS 12 a good release.

As for 11.3 beta 6, I have seen RAM issues, that's why I want final, it ejected all of my apps from memory. I want the stable release or at least a beta with the debugging code turned off.

11.x has been boring in general (for phone, not iPad). iOS 12 now seems like fixes over any new UI changes too. Too early to start an iOS 13 thread?

These websites such as the Sun from the UK and iPhoneinsider that reported iOS 11.3 was coming out today like they knew it for certain and it was carved in stone really screwed up smh

I wonder where they even brought the speculation from

Just spoke to a Apple software engineer today and they said that iOS 11.3 GM is delayed due to GPU issues and signal issues that has pushed it back to get fixed still. Also which causes RAM management issues. It’s odd because he said that it is requesting so much data which causes this issue and it’s for some reason related to 3D Touch.

Is this for real? I have a hard time believing Apple is making so many low-level changes for iOS 11.3.

Usually low level changes like this are reserved for major releases like 12.0, not a point release. Of course, I could be wrong; it feels like they are making more changes in point releases than they used to.

usually, the .3 release between mid to end march. This year seems to take longer than usual to finally comes out. 11.3 is on beta for 2 months now..

That said, you can safely install the beta if you are impatient to install it. At this stage, there's no real issue and feels like a GM to me.

There are annoying issues regarding the Bluetooth headphone. Specifically, iOS cannot handle the in-line control of certain models of Bluetooth headphones. Starting the playback with such devices connected is much more difficult than usual. I have determined that iOS 11.3 beta 6 has such issue while iOS 11.2.6 does not have. Unfortunately downgrade is too costly for me.

I would update to b6 but the long list of remaining issues is filled with nightmare fuel:
- attention awareness broken for certain things
- Messages in iCloud being funky
- Shared web credentials error (I use this 24/7 in Safari and apps)

Features like AirPlay 2 and ATV home app integration removed. The only fancy feature left is the battery health one which doesn‘t affect my iPhone X anyways.

What do you mean too costly? I’m on the beta and don’t really notice much difference.
