The guy on Twitter says that landscape Face ID won't be available for iPhone because it requires a "realignment of the front-facing sensors". I hope this is not true. It would be such a failure to release a phone for $1000+, then release a highly requested feature for an iPad and make people wait for the next generation of iPhones.
Well now you’ll know how iPad users felt when Touch ID didn’t come to iPad till a year after the 5S. And how Face ID on iPad is a year behind the iPhone. Most people don’t unlock their iPhone in landscape. However in order to ship this feature the iPad HAS to support it , the core of iPad use is in landscape.

When you collapse long grouped notifications, but stop the animation with your finger, then trying to collapse them again will cause a respring.

Never understood why people make such a big fuss about lack of wallpapers, just go online there are MILLIONS of wallpapers available lol.
Because there is a difference between one of the worlds greatest design companies doing a carefully thought out wallpaper, and some unknown user renaming a photo to “wallpaper” :)

When I charge my X, the battery percentage isn‘t going up. It stays where it was. Really strange...
That was the case for some users in one of the 12.0 betas and I think a hard restart restores the %. Not sure if it’s a permanent fix though.

Just finished another FaceTime call and I'm still freaking out about the new scenario of how I should flip the camera. And I'm wondering, why is it impossible to make such a setting button inside the Camera app to switch the settings of the video quality?
Also suggested this feature a couple of times, but Apple doesn't want to change that. This is just silly.

I believe that is Siri and announce calls. Siri in British English (as I have mine set), and Settings|Phone|Announce Calls.

Forgot to quote the post I was responding to, and now I can't find it. It was in response to the question

I have two friends that have iphones and when they get a call their phone says "You have an incoming call from blank", its in a british accent ...

Honestly pretty much the same thing as buying picture frames for the stock photos.

Quick and dumb question. I am still on developer beta program but can not get 12.1 so either it has not been released to my level or my phone is not letting me. Just curious. Thanks all.

Yeah but it’s nice to not have to do that and get a few Apple-curated ones to try out.

Delete the certificate, restart the phone reinstall the certificate from the website then restart the phone and see if you see 12.1.

Are you 100% certain you are not on the public beta program? Only the developer profile will get 12.1 for now. Maybe at 10:00 pdt today the PB will drop. But it could be at a later beta like 2 or 3 before PB gets it.

This. This is probably why. Thank you! I forgot.

This was mention as future, when the battery is too hot it stops charging until gets cooler!
It is written in apple battery specifications in the Apple site!

I have two issues with FaceTime:

1- Flipping cameras takes a LONG time.
2- To actually flip the camera is long winded as the button has been moved.

What are your thoughts on this?

I don't use FaceTime too often, but I did the other day and was SUPER annoyed at how they moved the button to an inconvenient location. It makes NO SENSE to make it that long of a process just to switch cameras.

I know exactly who you're talking about, but can't get over how funny it is to start any statement with "The guy on Twitter says..."
[doublepost=1537379374][/doublepost]Any indication that 12.1 supports the upcoming eSIM?

I have had problems with my camera for the last 3 builds of iOS 12. I am seeing the flipping delay you mentioned, and the camera even occasionally crashes some of my apps, such as WhatsApp when I go to take a picture.

For the first time in any iOS 12 beta, call quality and coverage on T-mobile is notably worse on this beta. Having to use WiFi calling at my house now to even hear the person which I’ve never had to prior.
