Not sure if new animation or bug but on iPhone X, when sending an iMessage there is a weird new animation of the bubble that I don't like... anyone else noticed this?

How does one attach a photo to an iMessage chat? When I tap on the camera icon, my only option is to take a new photo/video... I had to go to Photos and do it via the share menu. That's quite inconvenient. What's the trick?
You have to use the Photo extension in the app tray

Siri is extreeeemly slow this beta, wasn't the best in the last too. Maybe some server-sided delay here, but it's loading, and loading. Will see what the next version brings.

One thing I'm also extremely sad about is the design of the Battery-section in the settings. It's so clunky and overloaded with colors, text and tightness, really anti-Apple-like, who like to keep it "simple". Still not seeing myself using it too much because how much it is on one page. But the beta is good so far.

I agree with you about Siri is extremely slow. It adds a bug from PB2 that is not solved yet on PB3, Apple car play (which uses Siri to interact with) is unable to read messages. It does not sound nothing, and then ends with a “do you want to answer?” Which it is well heard.

Using pb3 since yesterday I still don’t have own impressions about battery life. And for the other things I am very happy with iOS 12 on an iPhone 6.

After a few days, has anyone else on iPhone X had the feeling that Face ID is considerably worse? The last beta for me was the best it’s ever been - fast and reliable and detecting at angles it had never done before. This beta feels like a return to iOS 11.

No problems with mine on B4

I see on wiki post that the music controls are not on the lock screen. What I am seeing is correct behavior now. Controls are on the lock screen when music is playing but are gone when not playing. Previous betas the music controls would stay on lock screen until app was force closed. (Even when not playing music) Both Apple music app and Amazon music app seem to be working fine now for me.

What device ?

Also performance wise this one does actually seem faster. I have not really noticed it before over 11.4.1.

On my iPhone X the music controls are still staying on the lock screen, I still have to force close to make them go away. Really irritating behavior.

FaceID working great for me on DB4/PB3 and each previous iOS 12 beta, and better than iOS 11 for sure.

Yes, I know, but shouldn't the icon appear on the messages app?

Yes I was just being a jerk, that's all. Stupid question, have you scrolled all the way to the right to the three-dot More button to see if it's hidden back there?

I find the battery stats page to be exactly what I need. A graph showing when it took nose dives and a list sorted by worst offender. On the flipside, one of the things I've always preferred about iOS over Android was that I never had to pay attention to the battery with that kind of granular detail.

Update: WiFi still no good. Drops out when phone locked. Although showing connected, when unlocked it isn’t connected. Constant toggling of airplane mode is boring me now.
Ahh the life of a beta :)
From what I’ve experienced, beta 1 was the best.

I am quite confused with reports of this; my Wi-Fi is rock solid on this latest build, sticks to 5GhZ too no problems (both at home and work, although I did spend most time at home since installing). I wonder if it is related to some specific network equipment?

I Don’t know if its been reporteD yet but there is an annoying bug when using a physical keyboarD with iPaD on iOS 12 beta 4. The letter D not working properly on Safari, it always activate bookmarks or other things anD I have to enter the letter in caps lock to work like I DiD in this message.

Anyone else?

One of the more common fixes for that issue is to delete the Apple Watch app for Pokemon Go. Every now and then, deleting the app, reinstalling it, and typing in your credentials for the 1000th time.

You know what, now that I think about it... I did start using PoGo on my watch again and this is when it started happening. Thank you!

I haven’t experienced this issue here.

Have you tried forgetting your WiFi connections and reconnecting or reset your network connection?

I agree with some people saying beta 4 is the worst beta so far. Face ID is slow, messages text box and keyboard is wonky, first time experiencing clock on lock screen disappearing, GPS having issues again but thankfully not completely unusable.

Also, when receiving videos in iMessage, the video comes through super tiny that you can't even tap it to expand. Never seen this before when using iMessage.

.
Or radio issues for that model of phone, or other configuration issue, or...or...or... A problem one person has might not be experienced by anyone else or might be experienced (or will be experienced on release) by a great number of other users.

That's why its so important to file feedback. Apple gets all those log files to help decipher what the issue might be.

This problem started immediately after installing PB2
I have an older iPhone 5 (NOT on iOS 12) and 2 MacBook's that work fine on my wifi, be that 2 ghz or the 5 ghz.
My 6S+ has been turned off/on; soft reset with power and home buttons
Reset network connection settings, more than twice.
Have since installed PB3 and it's still no good.
Even though there is nothing wrong with it, I rebooted my Virgin SuperHub 2.
I have tried different DNS settings.

Either way, I can go airplane mode off/on, then use wifi normally a bit, until I lock the phone, then it goes t1ts up again.

Thanks for the comments and trying to help :D, appreciated.

I have the same feeling. I’m going back to iOS 11

Yes. At least the iP6s does. Just did it via wireless too.(don't recall Beta 3 requiring anything special either though)

Yes, my 6S+ now connects properly. I also had that very annoying 'software download' message, only to never be able to download anything cus it "isn't on the server"! lol. I have just connected it now to triple check and it's ok. :)

Thanks!

I installed iOS 12 Public Beta 3 on my iPhone X.

Even though I know that Waze won't be available in Car Play until after September, the current beta does keep Car Play connected on my 2017 Audi A4 (iOS 11.4.1 kept connect/disconnect), but it is still unusable with Waze. It still reverts to dead air after reading turn by turn directions- instead of returning to radio audio. And even clicking radio toggle manually- still no radio audio.

I know it's a beta, but c'mon Apple/Audi- there has to be a fix for this 8+ month on-going issue.

Car Play also does not work with iMessage or Phone app. Voice/Siri prompts just become non-responsive and unable to return iMessages via voice or make calls.

If I disconnect lightning cable (hence CarPlay- no wireless CarPlay on 2017 Audi A4, Waze behaves normally.

Text replacement hasn't been working that well since iOS 12. the shortcut shows up in predictive bar, but will fail to replace the text in text box sometimes.

Beta 4 is an absolute dumpster fire for me on iPhone X.

Running hot. Screen freezing / not responding to touch / screen shut offs

Beta 3 was the fastest and most stable beta I had ever used. Had no issue with it on daily driver.

This is a throwback to the betas from years past. Not sure I will be able to hold off until a new beta is released before downgrading.
