There is one improvement I have noticed with Safari in iOS 12 on my iPhone 6s. In past iOS’s when you open multiple tabs in safari and you tap on the bottom right corner icon to switch to see all your open tabs on prior iOS’s it would show you a picture of a tab that you previously visited but wasn’t the latest most recent opened tab. For instance you hit the switch icon on the bottom right corner you see all your open tabs and you click on one it would show you a shadow pic in the tabs screen but when you click the actually tab it would be the last page you looked at (the shadow pic would be a different page than what actually showed once the tab opens)

It’s hard to explain but it no longer acts like this, so what you see in the open tabs switcher is actually what you have opened. I’ve been waiting for Apple to fix this in Safari iOS for awhile.

I know what you mean and this winds me up. I click on that button and have like 140 tabs yet no idea which was the last one, the one I am actually looking for! lol

Anyone else getting a text notification with no name again, just the phone number showing? I can't remember what fixed this last time I had it.

I had it between a couple of betas... it worked, then a beta broke it then a subsequent beta fixed it... somewhere around betas 4-5-6... but not an issue for me now.

I noticed something that I think it's a feature, not a bug. The auto-lock time gets halved when in home screen. I verified it with 2 and 5 minutes. If it is in home screen it locks up in 1 or 2.5 minutes...

My iPad mini 4 is now mini-er... iOS 12 has added a permanent border to my iPad and all apps. Instagram now mini-er with a distinguishable black border around the app and the pictures now bleed over the edges. Not happy to say the least

I'm not sure I understand. I also have an iPad Mini 4 and can't see that black border you're talking about. Maybe you are reffering to the hardware limit of the screen? Check the image below iOS11 vs iOS12 (just the screen/frame border:

Opening Bluetooth settings when Bluetooth is enabled crashes Settings, I have to enable Airplane mode and then disable Bluetooth before I can go into Bluetooth Settings. I had hoped this would be fixed in the public betas where it first appeared as a bug. Perhaps I'll try a full restore of the GM?

This has been the case for as long as I’ve been using iOS.

Had looked forward to a more flawless iOS. My "OCD" goes crazy about something like this hehe.

1) I have deleted Apple Music, but I still find it under Notification. Get lost!

2) Deleted Apps, located between all the other apps in Mobile Data. Substandard.

Updated my work phone (8+) and my Series 3 Apple Nike watch.
1. About half the phone calls fail to show up on the watch.
2. Battery life on the 8+ is markedly worse. This was an update via iTunes so may need a few days.
3. Some apps have incorrect screen time reported in Battery (both too long and too short)
4. Volume level display, between dots 8-9 speaker volume takes a disproportionate jump

What is Screen Time? Time screen is lit and active or ...? Wondering why the Screen Time is less than any app active time?

I’ve never seen this and it is a bug that varies by device. The phones all auto lock, my 8 plus and 7, at 2 ½ minutes when set to 5. The iPads have new auto lock settings. They go up to 15 minutes. My iPad Air set to 10 and 5 minutes auto lock properly at 10 and 5. My iPad Pro 12.9 when set at 10 locks at 5, when set to 5 it locks at 2 ½ like the phones. It’s very noticeable when you’re used to the longer time frames.

Hate to bring this up again but anyone having issues again with the built-in weather widget? They had it fixed now having same issues again. This time when swiping to the widget area the widget will flash “Tap to set up weather” before displaying the temperature. What is with the final versions breaking the weather app/widget?

Ran into an iMessage bug (8+)

  1. Received text from Person A (Android) - call it 12:00
  2. Received text from Person B (iPhone) - call it 12:01
  3. Replied to Person B @ 12:02
  4. Replied to Person A @ 12:03

In iMessage, it is sorted as
  1. Person B
  2. Person A

It appears to be sorted based on when received, sometimes.
Other times it works based on last message, sent or received.

When I open HEALTH - it doesn't come up with or update today's data. I have to go to another date and back or some other function for it to update. Didn't behave this way for me in IOS 11

Hi, i see no one talking about this, did the default mail received sound changed in ios12? On all my devices , the default sound for new mail is ‘none’ now.

I missed some important emails because of this change.

Are you seeing the same behavior? Or is it a bug.

Thanks.

I’ve noticed that mine always defaults to “none” after a major update.

My coworker and his wife noticed that the default alarm sound got reset. When they said “hey siri, set an alarm for 7am” it used to use their custom sound, but now uses Radar, until they create a new alarm and set its custom sound. After that new alarms take on the custom sound by default.

If I should ever upgrade to iOS 12 did they fix the problem when you turn off wifi and Bluetooth is it really is off?

Anyone else not having the same screen time stats per device when you share all your device with iCloud? For me, none of the 3 show the same stats and I activated all 3 the same day 2 days ago. It feels completely useless with this bug.

Anyone experiencing this bug in the HEALTH APP? Data is not being updated. I have to close the health app and open it again for it to be updated. iOS 11 did not have this problem. Anyone experiencing the same?
