Is Handoff working correctly in Safari for anyone?

I’ve got open iCloud tabs in Safari on my iMac, but they don’t show up in Safari on my iPhone XS at all.

Seems like a slightly new peek animation on message/mail etc when 3D touching

Mail app seems to have gotten worse somehow

Not sure but I think iCloud tabs are usually not syncing over between releases.

What are you talking about? They were actively working on 13.1 while other people worked on 13.0. Do you know how branching works? You combine both branches sooner or later. That‘s how they can work on and fix stuff like automations without waiting on the rest to fix the overall .0 release. We do that all the time at my company, it‘s how basic software development works...

There is no trashed progress, it could just be that the 13.0 progress is not yet rolled into the 13.1 beta build. That being said, people keep saying 13.1 is horrible... what exactly is broken compared to 13.0? Chances are it‘s the overall release that sucks.
I'm glad you asked, I do know how forking (branching) works, thank you!

Apple was working on automations and other components separately. They do not inherently have to be wrapped up into one big amorphous iOS build. They are components. They are delivered as one amorphous blob, but they do not inherently have to be developed that way.

Sometime around 13.0 Beta 8, Apple forked iOS and began working on 13.1. Apple can backport code to 13.0 from 13.1 sure, but that's more likely than continuing hardcore dev on 13.0 and trying to merge those changes into 13.1. In fact, it is very likely that Apple will backport some 13.1 stuff to 13.0 to fix big bugs.

Also hey, Qualcomm iP8 got a baseband update to 5.00.01, and AT&T got a carrier settings update to 38.0.1, so that's cool.

They're not gonna just trash their 13.1 work and go with a whole separate branch. The 13.1 code we're seeing is 13.1 my dude.

I got the same for me.

Qualcomm iPhone 8 firmware updated to 5.00.01 and carrier settings to 38.0.1 (Airtel).

It‘s not usual to have future releases be more buggy than the one closing in on it‘s deadline. The bleeding edge feature updates for some of my companies products focus solely on the new features and neglect the overall quality of the app cause that‘s handled separately on another branch. That‘s why 13.1 could theoretically be less stable than 13.0, cause they haven‘t gotten around to porting the fixes over.

Don’t mind admitting I am absolutely gobsmacked that the mail app is still the useless abortion it was back in the early days of iOS 13.0 beta... empty lists, no badges, timeout errors. Jebus!!!
Have you tried logging out of all of your devices from iCloud? I had a ton of mail issues a few betas back and I logged off on all my devices. I logged back in and everything has been perfect since

It will be a PR disaster if an unread icon is not showing the proper mail count? That seems like a bit of an exaggeration, doesn't it? Sure, not ideal, but I don't think anyone will be wailing and gnashing their teeth over that one.

For me (and yes, I realize that experiences differ for others), this beta has the feel of a product that is just about at the same stage of development as iOS 12 was last year (maybe a shade less good) and probably ahead of iOS 11. If there are real showstoppers, I want to hear about them.

Of course a Mail indicator is a minor issue but the fact that Mail has had such a troubled development journey this release, if there are any number of bugs especially ones as simple as this, the media will jump on them and use a proof of Apple's slipping standards. So yes a PR disaster is entirely possible.

I hope the wallpaper crop glitch is fixed so my son stops thinking that I crop him out on purpose and that I don't love him anymore...

I could watch kids get cropped out of pics all day. I don't give a crap about your kids.

There is no evidence to suggest this will be released in the next 2 weeks. Also, Apple is always a beta or two ahead internally. PR disaster is definitely an exaggeration.
I didn't suggest they were releasing in a week, there is a week until the launch. From that point it is typically a GM for a week before full release.

There are unlikely to be big changes between this week and next. See my comment above on PR

I had this in b1 and it is still present in b2.
Large green splotch in upper left corner of lock screen and home screen. Does not carry over into apps. Feed back sent.

Thanks for the suggestion. No I haven’t but I’m not using an iCloud email account, rather an outlook.com and Office 365 Business (Exchange) so don’t think it would matter.

Edit: sorry yes I have on my iPhone, restored, wiped etc and the mail app is still as useless as a chocolate teapot.
