They don't say not to use public beta on a main device like they do with the developer betas.
Wrong:

Be sure to back up your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch and your Mac using Time Machine before installing beta software. ... Install the beta software only on non-production devices that are not business critical. We strongly recommend installing on a secondary system or device, or on a secondary partition on your Mac.

Edit: See someone beat me to it. In any case, yeah, Apple’s never gonna actively encourage people to install beta software on their daily drivers.

On XS Max and on latest IPadPro it seems to be most stable ios 13.x release. More stable Files app, fixed/improved share sheet etc. Even spotlight search seems to be working for the first time on my XS Max ios13.x.

Maybe its too early to say these but these are my initial observations so far.

"5Ge" Hahahahahahahahah..

Thats why that pile of **** is fixed, cause it was and IS, wrong. It seems you actually fell for and believed it too... saddening..
No, you are mistaken, no one fell for anything. I just noticed that it was not showing the “5Ge” label since being on the 13.1 betas, thinking they might have reversed their decision to show it instead of LTE.

I have iOS 13.0. Would you say i should update? 13.1 Beta 1 wasn't that good.

This is easily my best beta experience with iOS 13. I’m hard pressed to find bugs worth reporting.
[doublepost=1567628990][/doublepost]Really small bug - noticed this in the last beta. Guess I’ll report it for kicks, but I’m sure Apple is aware of it.

It’s available!
Since beta 2 came out just one week after beta 1 and since pb was released same day as db, then I’m sure that those of you who suggested that 13.1 will on beta test until October are wrong—way wrong!
13.1 will be release version of iOS 13 to download while new units have 13.0 installed and will need an update to 13.1 when unboxed.

It does seem that any apps updated (or maybe just the stock ones) have to be opened once for the 3D/long touch thing to work. For example, the App Store didn't offer any options apart from "rearrange" until I opened it (and killed it). Now all the options show.

Anyone know why, when replying to a post in this forum, the caps lock key gets turned OFF when pressing the “return” key? (Stock Apple keyboard)

For example, try to reply to this post, and then press “return” in order to move the cursed down a line. Why does that turn off the caps lock?

That‘s why they have to go for 13.1, cause it introduces new major features. Apple probably had to install beta 8 level version on the new devices weeks ago to evade potential tariffs. The new phones ship with the barely stable beta 8 as GM and get a day 1 update to the „new GM“ 13.1.

You think that 13.1 is going to be ready in a couple of weeks? These betas take weeks to iron out the bugs and it is highly unlikely that it will be ready as a day one install on the new devices. To that point, why not just continue with the 13.0 betas instead of doing 13.1 at all?? Nothing is new on 13.1 except for things that Apple weirdly pulled from 13.0.

Weird - opening the Clock app fixed the issue.

Took me a sec to figure out the bug. The lack of 2 of the 3 glyphs, right?

I think you answered your own question: by all available evidence (timing, build number schema, release cadence) this is simply iOS 13.0 b10, but with a new "name". Its so obvious that I am incredulous that there are those who doubt this. That's why it will not be a big deal to have this as the release version of iOS. If you simply disregard the version number, it fits right in with the cadence of past releases nearly to a T.

I think some people are forgetting that the new iPhones aren’t actually going to end up in customer hands until the end of september. There is another 3 weeks until the “real” shipping software needs to be done, and I think this could be finished by then since it is a continuation of 13.0.

Plus we got 13.1 beta 2 a week later, when normally at the beginning of beta cycles it's spaced out by two weeks. But, who knows, this year has been juuuuuust a little different.

I still wonder if the direct device transfer works going from a newer OS to an older OS, that would avoid the whole backup issue that usually affects upgrades.

Absolutely...there are no sure things and those of us who think 13.1 will be coming with the new phones could be wrong. But everything that would need to happen for that to occur keeps happening.

At the end of the day, I just want my Automations and Share ETA functions to stick around!
