iOS 14.2 Beta 4 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Basically stopped, not paused, so yea, the former.

Clearly I am missing something. I have removed all the songs in my playlist. But it’s always got the first song from an album in there and even when it’s got to the end it leaves it there. I cannot have nothing in my now playing list. What am I doing wrong?

Edit to add: One track still shows in the music app to be played and will not go even when played. But the now playing tile in control centre shows nothing to be played but when I long press on it I don’t get suggestions. Hope that makes sense

Anyone else noticing visual voicemail not showing the last couple betas? I am on AT&T, but have not received any voicemail on beta 3 or 4, but can call in a listen to messages.

Suddenly unable to take ECG readings on Watch S4.

As it has been awhile since I took an ECG with my S4 connected to my XS Max, just did and it worked perfectly. Perhaps you can try the typical "remedies" restarting both etc.

Edit: final word, I’ve just started to play “my” station and it’s now populating the aforementioned, but not suggestions, only stuff I’ve already played. Oh well.

Aahhh interesting. I’ve only just jumped on to the 14.2 beta bandwagon with this release so had nothing to base my experience on. Thanks for confirming it’s not just me.

Just tried it and you are correct. VM is there but it doesn't show nor transcribe.


Update: Did a hard reboot of my device and tried it again. Voila!!! Voicemail works, shows, and transcribes correctly.

IPP11 and 11 PM with a set of AirPods Pro.
Both devices have access to the APP.

Use APP and they auto-connect to IPP - watching to The Boys
Unlock 11PM - get the banner that the APP are connected - still watch The Boys on IPP
Both devices still unlocked - take out APP and use restroom - come back and put APP back in - both devices still unlocked
APP will no longer play audio from IPP. Won't work on 11PM either.
Have to disconnect/reconnect on just one of the devices and all starts working again.

Reported.

btw - so far the APP have worked okay for both devices. Hand off is still a no-go between them for audio.

I have installed all the beta versions so far and never faced any issue. For the first time, I have been facing below issue since I installed beta 4

1. Cannot retweet tweets in twitter. I can only quote a tweet.

2. I can’t occasionally disconnect calls. I need to lock and unlock screen to be able to disconnect

3. I can’t remember but have faced few other issues too.

I’m pretty sure that if you use the Direct Transfer option during setup it will let you get your stuff over to the new phone even if it’s on a different version than your current one.

Didn't work for my 11PM because it was on an earlier OS than my XS Max. Had to put the beta on the 11PM, and then the transfer worked. Maybe it was good my launch day in store order was delayed since I think I read the beta profile for the 11PM wasn't up until day 2.

Still could come out in the next few hours..... Anyone getting a 12 for tomorrow, should be prepared to either deal with going to a fresh install on 14.1, or just wait out a 14.2 beta release for the 12, which will come at some point.

Haven't seen a 14.2 beta post for the iPhone 12 / 12 Pro yet unfortunately. Here's hoping they post it early tomorrow morning, otherwise we'll have to deal with a clean install for a while.

Well this has been a bugger of a day.
Was going through the settings on my 11 ProMax, when the phone froze.
A hard reboot got the screen shut off but it would not turn back on.
Hooked it to my MB - got the phone restarted however it's blank and will not recognize my B/U in the iCloud.

So.... looks like I get to start over from scratch.
Another example of why you DO NOT make your primary device a beta.

Backups for device - iCloud
Photos and document backups - Google Drive

So I lost some time but not a lot else. Wonder why the B/U in iCloud wouldn't load.

Apple might drop it in a few hours, or wait until next week. Probably a good reason to not be on the beta train if you're getting a new device.

I forgot to remove the WatchOS dev profile, and 7.1 went on, I can't sell it and replace with Series 6 until 7.1 is out. ?

Headphone safety is still buggy... If you're using a bluetooth receiver which is recognized as headphones, system will notify you and turned down the volume to the middle.
It's very annoying :/

Just receieved my 12 Pro (Australia). Can confirm that 14.2 beta 4 is available by OTA already.
