“Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch > Turn Always Show Menu off”

Did so, but cannot retain or assign mouse button functions. maybe it has something to do with the mouse. Logitech M720. I give up. On top of this, I now when I try to make a reply to your post, and I get not only your post, but another member as well that was replied to much earlier. Guess we’re gonna have to wait for a new iOS update. Thank you for your time.

Which mouse do you have?
The right click seems to work with my magic mouse 2, but it still can't be customized to anything else without assistive touch on. I'm baffled why they made this change.

With hide I mean you can't see the assistive touch button anymore when you activate the option and use a mouse with the iPad.

Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch > Turn Always Show Menu off

Me as well. Will wait for another update. Apple does what Apple does. Doesn’t make a better sense and why they can’t leave things alone is beyond me. A simple pointer is all we need with the ability to assign the buttons.

How does one turn off the Headphone Safety notifications? I use an AirFly Pro in the car and iOS thinks I’m listening to headphones and keeps turning down the volume automatically. This is what I see when I go to Settings/Headphone Safety. Any ideas? Thx.

Settings>Sounds and Haptics>Headset Safety. There should be two toggles in there. "Headphone notifications" and "Reduce loud sounds". Explanation is below each of those options. What device? I have both these on XR. If you dont have those toggles perhaps a reset all settings will resolve it.

Are there any problems with the proper functioning of the Safari tabs in the cloud? Any sync problems on 14.2 again? For example, the iPad displays cards that have long been closed on the iPhone ... and the iPhone does not show those from the iPad at all ....

Newer than RC1 (18B91) no?

OTA is 4.3 GB going from the RC to this.
4.3G is huge. It is about 2.7G for my SE(13.4).

Anyone knows if the sum of the incremental updates would be much bigger than a direct upgrade?

14.2 looks mature enough, but i could wait till 14.4 if the sum of incremental upgrades is bigger.

any idea

Anytime going from a RC or beta you get the full download, hence the large file size. Going from say 13.7 to 14.2 you get a delta (incremental) upgrade. That is normal. For what its worth, iTunes will always use the full file as well. Only OTA upgrades use the deltas.

It’s not there. Ugh. I was going to avoid the reset all settings.

Yes!

what i am asking whether the sum of incremental upgrades would be larger than a direct upgrade, say 14.2 + delta (14.2 to 14.3 and 14.3 to 14.4) would it be bigger than a direct upgrade (14.2 to 14.4)?

Noticed that the camera notification in Control Center became stuck until I rebooted.

I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to be persistent, otherwise the language should say "last used" instead of "recently."

It should also change to reflect that I've used a different camera app instead of being stuck on the one I used prior.

No it wont be. The files are being overwritten by new versions of the same files. With incremental upgrades only the changed files are being overwritten so the downloads are smaller because you are not getting the files that have not changed. So the end result will be the same size at the end of the day.

Have anybody managed to get any 3rd party apps to show up in the new control center play history? I saw Pandora once in a beta thread but I have only seen Music app’s suggestions.

YouTube just can’t stay in ram for anyone else? If I play a video, pause, go to another app and come back it reloads. Been this way since iOS 14.1 on my 12 Pro.

Anyone else having this issue?

anyone has issue after updating to iOS14.2 when you minimize or close whatsapp, your whatsapp client on windows/mac/web not able to connect to the phone client anymore? it says no internet connectio, you have to maximise the client on phone to get it working? didnt have this issue in previous version.

Didn’t think I had any issue with this but double checked and yep, no problem. Vid starts where it left off from, no reloading. SE 2020.

Many thanks.

I just upgraded to 14.2.

oh. I don’t like the App Library.

how could I get back the left swipe for quick camera instead of going App Library?

and could I set the widget to the old ones with semi transparent background? The widgets in iOS 14 with solid background colour look ugly to me.

it looks like those iOS native widgets are with solid background colour, while those from third parties are with the old style, ie semi transparent. Not consistent as one theme at all, i.e look different from other app widgets and the notifications (notification Center).

tkyou

The quick camera access is there on the Lock Screen and still works. The App Library is only accessible when you are on the Home Screen when you are unlocked (at which point the quick camera access isn't there anyway).

The style depends on whether or not the new widget is being used by an app. The old ones remain there for apps that still offer them and are available toward the bottom of the Today View screen.

Possible to hidden the App Library. The new Home Screen setting has very few options.

yes, the old app still offer the old style widget, but those widgets of iOS native apps now turns to solid background, looks not only not elegant as they were but also not consistent with other app widget and the style of notifications and the whole UI, e.g. Notification Center, control center, search in Home Screen, all are with semi transparent background.
