Are there any problems with the proper functioning of the Safari tabs in the cloud? Any sync problems on 14.2 again? For example, the iPad displays cards that have long been closed on the iPhone ... and the iPhone does not show those from the iPad at all ....

wow i thought im the only one having this issue. I still encounter this in 14.2.

Anyone else having issues with AirDrop? After updating to iOS 14.2, my iPhone just fails to detect my Mac, regardless of what I do.

I'm seeing the same issue with iPad and Big Sur. Tabs that are closed on my iPad and MBP are still showing up on my iPhone with 14.2. I didn't have this issue before on 14.2 betas or the RC. Something new on the public 14.2 release.
I hope it's an issue on the backend and not the update.

I’m still on 14.1 and on my iPad it is not showing the current tabs that are open on my iPhone. The same when I go on my iPhone - I had only one tab open on my iPad (MacRumours forum), but the tab it is showing [on the iPhone] as being open on the iPad is one from yesterday (football results).

Optimized battery charging not working any more . All that must be toggled on is .
Anyone else ?
Actually , it's since I got my iPhone 12 Pro . Is there a" learning" period with a new phone ?

I would expect that there is a learning period, as it's a new device, it has no history. I would think you'd need maybe a week, for it to start to have an idea.

I on my iphone xs, every time I reset it, it takes at least 7 to 10 days to learn the charging patterns. I see this process slow and inefficient

I restored the phone, twice now, and this always stays like this... does anyone know why, or how can it be solved?

Your “System” seems to be ok. I have same size. But your Others is Zero so there is no temp data in your phone Or it cannot read the size / content.

can you try syncing it with your pc or mac and see if the storage will be read in your pc / mac? Sometimes doing a sync does the trick...

Can someone check and see if they are having issues with safari iCloud tabs on 14.2. For some strange reasons the tabs are updating very slowly.

Right now on my iphone, safari tabs on my iCloud from about 1hr ago is still showing up as being opened but they are have been long closed.

yes, itunes detects storage well, and others have a size of 2.02GB. only the phone is the one that doesn't show that content well, and I don't know why. reset the phone twice, and this remains the same. In 14.0.1 the exact same thing happened to me, and until I update to 14.1, it was not corrected.

I’m finding with 14.2 that my iPhone is seriously lagging. Like, opening apps, browsing Safari, etc are all just having issues stuttering while opening and then going to a new page or flipping to a new topic just full of stutters. Not to mention, my iPhone is heating up like crazy and going through battery life super fast. Just charged it to 94% at 7:45. Walked the pups and got back a couple minutes ago and it’s now at 72% battery charge. What’s going on?

This is still happening to me. i can see all my idevices tabs here in my ipad. And they’ve been closed. While in my iphone i can see my macbook’s tab. My macbook has been turned off hours ago.

Thats weird. The only thing i can think of is you probably have some corrupted or unreadable data in your phone that makes the storage reading “fail” or grey or zero.

This is a painful step, so try it if you want and have time,

try setting is up as a new phone, then check if the storage is readable. If its readable, try restoring your backup. If it becomes unreadble then the data and the backup probably has an issue That your phone can’t read...

Yes, my wife and I encountered this while I was on 14.1 and she was on 13.7. The only way we could get it to work between us was to set it to EVERYONE rather than CONTACTS ONLY.

Beginning with iPadOS 14, when I read my email using the native mail app on my iPad Pro (12.9-inch, 2nd generation) in portrait orientation, the unread mail count in the upper left hand corner of the screen does not change after I’ve read an unread email. (In contrast, in each email the blue dot next to the header disappears.) The count only changes when I exit back to the list of emails in the inbox. Updating to iPadOS 14.2 did not fix this. Neither did a force restart.

Has anyone else seen this bug after updating to OS 14?

I don't know the truth ... when I upgraded from 14.1 to 14.2 RC, this worked without any problem. the problem appeared when restoring with final 14.2. I have already restored twice in two days, I am going to leave it a few days, because the truth is that otherwise, I am doing fantastically well. and even though you can't see what the others section occupies, it is at more correct levels than when it was seen.
for the applications I have, and the use that I give them, I used to occupy between 2 and 2.5GB. since using the ios 14 betas, it has always been occupying between 3 and 5GB, something that in the final versions was corrected a bit, but never as it should be in my opinion.

For anyone realizing they’re missing text messages, head on over here. The tl;dr is that nothing done seems to have fixed it yet...

Already tried that, still no luck. Guess I'm a sitting duck till the next update.

I’m experiencing the EXACT same thing on my iPhone 11. I keep missing messages because of this.
This is good to know. From what I can find, hour’s is the first on anything other than an iPhone 12 or 12 Pro.
