11 Pro Max here. Battery life has definitely taken a hit. Not terrible but to the point it’s very noticeable and I sincerely hope it’s fixed with 14.1.

11 Pro here, phone gets hot, battery drains fast. Was getting 3 days on a charge, now just one day. Removed a suspect widget (not on Home Screen), but watching a video makes the phone drain more than on iOS 13.7

Battery life is even better than iOS 13.7, iPhone 11 Pro Max iOS 14 of course.
Best battery life I’ve ever had, after 24 hours my phone is still around 50% battery.

This is the first time since I started using iOS (iOS 4) that I’ve actually noticed a meaningful decrease in battery life after an update. I know people always complain, but luckily I’ve never had an issue until now.

My iPhone 11 Pro is ending each day with about 20% - 25% Less battery life at the end of the day. This has been fairly consistent each day since updating and the usage of my phone has not changed. I work from home now, so it’s not really an issue. Just unfortunate.

I had major battery issues where my phone would be off the charger with light use and was dropping 30-50% in 1.5 hours. The only thing that resolved it for me was erasing the phone and restoring the backup from iCloud. Battery life is now back to normal.

My Xs Max seems unaffected, but my wife's Xr is loosing battery charge rapidly. I have disabled all the background things that she can live without. We will see over the next few days how this goes.

I know this overheating and battery draining issue only affected some people. Like I said earlier, it affected my XS Max but not my wife's. I strongly suggest those affected to do a reinstall and setup the iphone as new (do not restore from backup), this fixed my overheating problem. I know it is a pain but worth a try.

I restored and set up as new my 11 Pro with iTunes and I am getting better battery than after OTA updating from 13.7 to 14.0.

I recommend everyone with battery issues do a restore and set up as new using iTunes or Finder. Don’t do it from iOS settings.

Last time I had to restore due to battery issues was when updating my 5S from iOS 10.2 to 11.0.

WHAT THE HELL!? I just charged my iPhone SE (first gen), 93% battery capacity, last night to 61%... woke up today after 7 hours of it IN AIRPLANE MODE, in LOW POWER mode... and it's 31%!!! 30% of the battery just ... poof! gone!!

oh right, it's "working on things in the background"... huh fanbois? ;) nah I get it... that happens... but I've never seen it like this.. IN ANY release! what the hell is this?

and my apple watch? watchOS 7? ... perfectly fine battery life.

😩 BTW, before this iOS14... it would drain maybe 4% AT MOST at night, during that time. .... This is upsetting.
assuming you bought the iphone se March 31, 2016 (when it released) through September 12, 2018 (when it was discontinued) you'd at a minimum have over 2 years of use on the battery. They are rated for 500 charge cycles and given you are charging once a day (probably more now) you've exhausted/consumed the battery, and the 93% battery full charge capacity shown by iOS is not accurate. Get a new battery for $49 and kindly step down from your soap box.

Old 6S here, original battery, iOS 14 has wrecked my already struggling battery. A full charge probably goes about half of what it used to.

No heat issues though, at least not after installing iOS 14, during which the phone got quite warm.

Battery life is really good on my iPad 10.5 and games run smooth again.
No change on my iPhoneX.

Cellular off. Bluetooth off. Location off. Only two apps with background app refresh. Lost 20% battery overnight. iPhone 7.

XR bought in January: I got so used to charging once per two, sometimes three days with iOS 13, that I definitely notice needing to charge daily. (It doesn't drop to 0%, more to 40-50%, but I'm used to 70-75% at the end of the day. I'm not a very heavy user.)

Definitely feel a big battery life decrease on my iPhone 11. I went from having ~8 hours screen on time to about ~5 hours screen on time.

Hopefully this is fixed because there is no real reason for such a significant downgrade.

Battery is average. It went from 60% to 20% in 3 hours and I only looked at instagram a couple times and watched a YouTube video. All the rest was standby. Which seems to have gotten a lot worse on my iPhone SE2020

On my XS I feel battery life is much better. However in my partners iPhone 7 it is pretty shocking. I did a clean install yesterday, so will give a couple of days to index.

Never had a single problem here, been using it since Beta 4.
iOS 14 is a pretty solid release to be honest. Had a few bugs, but nothing major.
