It tells you the number of days for each beta though...the start date should be irrelevant, correct?
Except that it does not differentiate between the Developer and Public Betas, which was my point above.

I'm more excited about these iOS 14 Beta's than the release of iPhone 12, my best bet is tomorrow. Am I remembering correctly are new beta's often updated on Tuesday's?
Tuesday is the release date for at least a plurality if not the majority of Dev betas

I remember last year Apple would release the betas on off days and also strange times, like way later in the day than normal. It got to be no so predictable anymore and I wonder if everybody working from home will make things even more unpredictable this year. I'd say it's still a possibility for today though hope is fading.

You mean something like this?

I am really only talking about something that looks like this, which would take all the speculation out of when past betas dropped (which should not be cause for speculation).

It is possible some devs will open up a TestFlight build for people, too. Last summer I was able to get in on some TestFlight builds for a few apps I use more than most. Not only was I able to provide some needed support, but I was able to use a few new features.
TestFlight is limited in terms of what you can test though. The Craig / Mkhbd interview made it seem like Apple has to whitelist your app to use the default app setting flag so a random game can‘t claim browser rights cause of a random WebView.

This is most definitely a feature we wont see until launch.

May I ask why? seems like you would just be getting the same thing but delayed.
Happens every single year, people seem to think there's a difference between public and dev beta, when the reality is that the dev beta is just released first and if there are no bricking issues then public beta will be released shortly afterwards.

He followed up that post though and went back in here to check the last three initial iOS releases to confirm the first public beta was one week after DB2 release.

I was going to verify, but just haven’t had time.

I agree though, would be nice to see it as part of a chart somewhere.

Oh I am not disputing that. That’s why I made reference to my own memory being faulty. But my point is, we can avoid these arguments altogether with something like my spreadsheet. Then, as I said, we can speculate about the future, but be certain about the past.

But when I suggested this last year, the comments I got back were, um, quite strident in their opposition, which floored me. I’ll give it another try however.

Well, now I’m really going to do it. Hah.

Gonna be a bachelor for the next few days and will throw something together between sniping people on Call Of Duty.

It’s always driven me nuts as well since I went to PB only when they introduced it.

Request a pin, too. Let me know when you post it and I will too.
