Absolutely! I’d suggest holding on to the iOS 14 b1 .ipsw file in case of any issues. I’ve been able to go back to a previous beta before because of issues. I’d assume this go around won’t be any different.
Now that's a smart idea. I've never thought to do that.

It is possible some devs will open up a TestFlight build for people, too. Last summer I was able to get in on some TestFlight builds for a few apps I use more than most. Not only was I able to provide some needed support, but I was able to use a few new features.

Argh, of course the Mail and Browser apps wil need updating before we can use them, and everyone will be after the testflight betas for those.

If I am not wrong, it was two Mondays ago that we got beta 1. So, are we expecting a beta 2 today?

If you want to try for the Readdle Spark iOS Beta (mail app) ... https://insight.readdle.com/

It probably wont happen before final release. The default app setting requires an app update of the browser / mail app & Apples approval.

I‘m not even sure if a testflight beta can flag the app as a default browser / mail app. Probably has to wait for the full release and final app updates.

Ahh, I see. I was getting my hopes up for a beta for Readdle's Spark mail Aapp.

Considering how abstract and unusual the entire year has been, who knows what kind of schedule they’ll hold to, if any. And seeing how stable iOS 14 b1 has been, I’d assume a public beta will happen sooner than later.

It can still drop today. We have seen them drop betas at 4pm eastern time before. There is no set time of the day they release them, though most are released at the 1pm/10am timeframe. Yes most beta periods are 2 weeks and part of the delay here could be the public beta, it usually drops with beta 2. My bet will be later today or tomorrow for beta 2. But again seeing how stable beta 1 is, they could wait longer for a beta 2, maybe we won't need as many betas this time.
