Wasn’t iOS 13 public beta 1 released after dev beta 2?Beta 3 has “usually” been the first public beta... gets the show stoppers worked out.

Ah, I see. Let’s hope this year there’s less of a gap.It was released one week after dev beta 2, but was the same as dev beta 2.
If history is any indication the PB will drop a week after DP2...If history is an indication the PB will drop this week. I'd guess a day after DP2.
You mean something like this?I am constantly amazed at how many versions of the "truth" float around (including from me). Key reason why eyewitness testimony is not considered particularly reliable.
I will say this: last year I proposed a thread where we kept track of when betas were first released for testing. The amount of abuse I got for that was unnerving. And yet, we really don't have a good database of the beginning date of each beta, just the release date
My money is on Today, but if not Wednesday the latest. Definitely seeing this week.......We'll see!

Same here! I'd also love to see widgets auto-update more frequently and reliably than they currently do. And hopefully the storage bug is fixed too.Definitely hoping it's today, and most importantly I'm hoping the update will include the ability to change the default browser and mail apps. Oooooh Pleeeeease!!!

Only an hour and a half to go.
I think it’s coming tomorrow. Just a gut feeling.
Also don’t want to set myself up for disappointment, lol
Where is this setting? I haven't found it. Maybe turning it off will help my battery life.Actually, I turned the auto-update off on the widgets. I agree they don't update very reliably. An update would be most welcomed.

No worries! I meant the widgets themselves, not stacks. I've noticed the Fitness widget rarely updates unless I open it for a few seconds first, which defeats the purpose of a widget. That's what I was wanting fixed.Sorry, I think I may have misunderstood. Do you mean the widget stacks? That's what I thought you meant. If not, sorry.
I see. I don’t have a chart, but I typically just go through the archived macrumors articles to get that info. But that doesn’t show the relationship of Public Beta release timing to the developer beta. That is the main question above.
Like others have said, I believe the first public beta is typically DB2 and released no earlier than a week later and then moved to a 1-2 day post DB beta release and then “later same day” schedule for the last month.
Is there a similar chart with this info?

I don't use widget stacks.
I'm sure it will get fixed in the next beta. It seems like a fairly simple fix.I see, I've noticed that with the Weather widget. I have to open it to get it to update. Which is a real pain. I agree, I hope that is fixed, and as you say, it defeats the purpose of a widget.

Other than widgets not auto-updating and the storage bug, I don't have many complaints for this beta. Let's hope beta 2 is the same. I don't want to jinx it though.

It's certainly a nice break from the bug ridden iOS 13.Totally agree. I’ve got some absurd amount of apps installed on my iPhone and other than ONE SpringBoard relaunch and some web pages freezing up momentarily, I’ve had none of the issues others are reporting here. Hopefully we’ll continue to see more of the same.
It probably wont happen before final release. The default app setting requires an app update of the browser / mail app & Apples approval.Definitely hoping it's today, and most importantly I'm hoping the update will include the ability to change the default browser and mail apps. Likely wont happen as it likely requires apps to be updated after reviewed by Apple to be eligible to be set to default ( Federighi said that is how it would work on a podcast, they dont just want any app claiming default email or a browser).
Meaning in the fall when 14 is released.
