iOS 14 Release Speculation

Hope I’m wrong, but I am just not feeling a 14.0.2 today if it wasn’t done in sync with TV OS. It’s not odd for them to be out of sync version wise, I just can’t remember a recent release that they were not released same day. Feels like that was done as a stop gap before 14.1.

Really feeling 14.2 beta 3 today or tomorrow. 14.1 still next week potentially after the iPhone event if it happens.

I don't know. I think 14.2 may be next. I've been running the beta and it has been absolutely ROCK solid for me. Haven't hit any bugs at all and it feels like it's ready for release.

Why would they push a 14.1 if 14.2 is pretty much ready to go?

Maybe 14.1 will come shipped on some devices but I suspect the next general release version will be 14.2.

I agree except perhaps a 14.0.2 for phones and iPad in the next day or two.
 
Well looks like we could have new phones by next Friday if they follow the Apple Watch pattern, so could have 14.1 next week.
 
I think it will be a quick jump 14.1 on new phones and 14.2 right away on them.

14.1full of bugs you know

Actually to put that bluntly, we all are also smart to figure out when something HAS been released.
Yet people do blurt it out repeatedly without fail.

I got an update for MS Authenticator last night (didn't fix the issue), but made me wonder if there is a fix on both the MS and Apple side and that an Apple fix is forthcoming.

I got round it by turning off Face ID for the app.

14.2 is not really like 13.2 though. Beta 1 to Beta 2 gap is very different. Though if you want to draw on previous iOS versions, you conveniently didn't mention 12.2 Beta 2 to Beta 3.... 13 days.
 
I'm thinking the same, B3 tomorrow since I would've thought if 14.0.2 for iOS were to release it would've been today.
 
Today: iOS 14.0.2 along with watchOS 7.0.2 + Suplemental update to macOS Catalina 10.15.7??? Speculating, of course. Good day everyone.
