Been getting the message many times today. Rather annoying. Hoping for an update soon.
But it is a Beta...nobody twisted my arm.
But before yesterday it only came up like once a day or less. Now it's every single time I unlock and even sometimes while using the device.
Thinking possibly an update today. Don’t know why. Just speculating. Fridays aren’t unheard of. Maybe GM before 14.2 final next week.
Basically what could have happened is that the Software Update server told your device that the beta is over and to update to Public Release, that it has to be done before 31/10/20. As you get closer to that date, the prompts are more frequent.
we did get a update on a friday before but it was because of an emergency fix needed because iOS was crashing peoples phones and iPads.

There isn’t going to 14.2 GM. We need another 2/3 betas. Idk why you guys think 14.2 Gm will be out next week. GM 14.2 won’t be out till the event is out
What event? The only event expected next is the Silicon event, which is Mac focused, not iOS/iPhone focused. Whereas, 14.2 needs to come out soon as Apple will want testing to start on iOS 14.3, which brings various things that Apple stated will be available later this year. Those things are not in 14.2, therefore 14.3 must come out in December, and would have to commence beta testing soon.
Again, why do we need another 2/3 betas? Just because you want that, doesn't mean that is what Apple will do.
How else do you expect these missing features to come out? Magically out of thin air?
If there won't be an update for it, is there anywhere that explains how and when we can get it. Apple has been lacking in info about this and Fitness+ Should have FAQs by now
Cool is there anywhere that explains how they price if you already have pieces though another service like AM through VZW, and I wish a popup about that would pop up endlessly instead of the dumb beta one
Beta 4 is not ready, there is beta 5 for sure and maybe GM, but there is atleast two more betas on the way.

As for the other part of your question, I have no idea, that might be something that would need to be through Apple support, or on theirs or VZW's website....
Why on earth would they tie an iOS release into a Mac/MacOS event? That is nonsensical. Also, you do not know that 14.1 is loaded on the Pro Max & Mini's, it's quite likely 14.2 is on there, as Apple has likely made the current beta a GM, especially since we didn't get a new 14.2 beta this week.
Additionally, Big Sur public release is supposedly the 18th, the day after the Silicon event, meaning that Big Sur GM will come the week of the 9th, or maybe even next week.
The bit in bold is your OPINION, not fact. Only Apple decides what is ready. Not all bugs get fixed before a public release, so what bugs are around (other than the update one, which appears to be server side) are not as impactful for the wider audience outside.
I think if you're really convinced in your opinion, you are in for a surprise.

I don’t convince my self if anything, my room mate works for apple what exactly he does he doesn’t say do to NDA agreement but she he tells me what beta is next I always take his word for it and he seems to know for the last 4 years some how. Maybe his a magicians m, maybe his just very good at predicting the future.
his the guy that has silican Mac mini in his desk for developing software so I think he knows a thing or two compared to most of us

Yeah it's looking like Apple is going to let us squirm with this one for the weekend. I'm a bit surprised; last time this bug popped up they released a fix build right away.
Hopefully they get rid of this code entirely now that it's caused problems two years in a row.
Apple won't get rid of this nag message, because they do not want their testers to stay on a beta version for the long haul.
Wait, are you actually suggesting Apple is trying to discourage people from providing Apple with free, real world software testing?
