Do we have to go through this every time, people?

These things aren’t released the second the clock strikes the top of the hour.
Not true to my mind.
the default is release with striking to the seconds. It’s an aberration when it does not do that and that is rare.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they are trying to implement the iMessage notification fix in. That might be why we haven’t seen anything this week.
Well or perhaps the fact that this post was at 8:56am this morning and its only Tuesday :) lol

I still think that ios 14.3 will be released this week.

airpods pro max delivery date is December 15.

Australia and New Zealand is always ahead than any other countries when it comes to apple product deliveries.

if they release is on Monday, the usual time, it’s technically Tuesday, December 15 in Australia and New Zealand. In New Zealand, it will be Noon already. That means Kiwis needs to wait until mid day after their headphones arrive before they can use it. Airpods Pro Max requires 14.3.

If they were releasing a big service like Fitness + on Monday, wouldn't it be smart to launch the IOS a few days before that time? Have they ever launched an IOS and then a new service on the same day? Typically we would get the new IOS updates on Wednesday or Thursday, and I still think it might be that kind of schedule. Maybe not tomorrow because the RC (I guess that's what they are calling it now, I just learned what GM stood for) just came out, but I can see a Thursday or Friday release.

The last time I remember an update and service launching at the same time was when Apple Music launched with iOS 8.4. Everybody thought that the update would come a day or two before so everyone could be ready to listen to the first show on Beats 1 but it only dropped an hour or so before the service went live.

No I agree. I’d say either Thursday Or Friday. They are waiting to see if there are any show stopping bugs with the RC. The fitness tab will go live on Monday.

Also big sur 11.1 that needs to come out to support AirPods max. That’s a lot of updates (Mac, Apple TV, watch, iPhone, iPad) on the same day a service launches

This is a good point. Has this happened in the past with hardware releases that were tied to a certain version of iOS? I don't see how they can wait until Monday EST.
