What means „a“ build? Are the final release or RC near?
Hopefully I won’t have to charge my watch ½ thru the day anymore! From 169f to 183b.
Turns out I was wrong about RC this week. Didn’t age well for us both lol. ?All indications are event will be 3/23. So I’d say you are correct.
I don't restore. I just load the release once it's out.Slightly off topic. Do those running 14.5 beta restore to the final public release once it’s out?

12 minutes behind @Banglazed ?New Beta is here
I install final release (unless latest beta is the final version) and remove beta profile to come out of the beta cycle for that particular releaseSlightly off topic. Do those running 14.5 beta restore to the final public release once it’s out?
Few of these youtubers reckon RC could drop in the next couple of days. 🤔Uh, no…
What were the issues you encountered?Yes! Hopefully this fixes my CarPlay issues!
Extremely unlikely that we would get an RC 2 days after a beta.Few of these youtubers reckon RC could drop in the next couple of days. ?
They must be talking trash.
Considering we got beta 4 on a Monday, it’s totally possible Apple could find an issue and release another update this week. With a potential impact on security with the unlocking w/ Apple Watch feature, I’m sure they want to get that right for the masses. Not to mention all of the other bug fixes in place.Extremely unlikely that we would get an RC 2 days after a beta.
Youtubers just click baiting.

Also, this was “beta 4” not “RC1”. They could always release “beta 5” at some point.
I’ve had a few CarPlay issues. I have a Chevy Impala and there are times when I connect my iPhone and it’s not recognized at all. Some times I’m having to reconnect 2-3 times until it works. Some times rebooting the phone, and some times I’m having to actually stop the car and put it in park and open the door (?), but it eventually connects. What were the issues you encountered?
Except some disconnections sometimes (on wireless CarPlay) I don't have any issue.I’ve had a few CarPlay issues. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I’ve also had issues with my car’s steering wheel controls for track forward & back. I could be in the middle of listening to a song in the Music app and then press my steering wheel’s next track button, and then the actual car stereo starts playing the “next” song on another source/input, which is a connected USB thumb drive, ALONG with the still playing same song in the Music app = two songs playing at the same time. This issue seems new since iOS 14.5 beta 2 and continues thru to beta 4.
With most people still working from home, I’m sure there’s been less feedback reported re CarPlay issues. I know I’ve been driving way less for sure.
I would lose connection on a frequent basis. I would have to disconnect and connect the cable again to get it to work again. What were the issues you encountered?
It's likely another beta or RC will drop this week.
