Good catch! I didn’t even think of Apple Pencil, my first thought was the colors of the new Apple cases we’re supposedly getting soon for spring.
Hey, you maybe onto something! It's possible that the invite 'art' represents the Apple Pencil AND the colors represent the upcoming case colors or they could also be the body colors for the upcoming iPads.
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, there won’t be an RC until after the event next week. It’s likely the RC is what is being loaded onto new iPads in the factory right now so releasing the same RC to developers and the public leaves it open to spelunking thus ruining the event.
Yes. Apple was supposed to predict that we would be wearing masks, engineer, execute and deploy a fairly difficult hardware solution…before masks were even mandated.

If we assume the new updates will be released next Tuesday, there must be RC version before that. My thinking is that a new version of Xcode 12.5 will be needed for developers to release app updates built using the new SDKs. I might be wrong tho.
