14.6 is probably going to have a swift release, I would bet we see public release of 14.6 by end of May.
Possibly, I was hedging my bets, but I would think likely to be out in time for the new devices.
Or maybe the final? Because iOS 14.5.1 is a real mess. Worst iOS version ever.
iOS 14.6 beta 3 came out only 3 days ago.. I bet we don't get the RC till next week

I’m not so sure about that. I would think there’d be at least one more beta before a larger point release like this. Look how many betas of 14.5 there were.
I think it all depends on (A) if the new high fidelity Apple Music tier comes out on May 18th as rumored and (B) if so, is14.6 is required to use that.
If the answers to both of those are “yes”, we’ll see 14.6 on Tuesday! If not, I’d say we’ll see it no later than the week of 5/24. The following week is Memorial Day week here in the US and, as importantly, the week before WWDC, when I suspect everyone will be taping their talks and getting ready for interactive engineer sessions.
By and large, this isn’t a huge release, so 3 betas might do it.
This, and also I doubt that the new iPads will come with iPadOS 14.5. Do we have confirmation from the guy who received his first one today about the version it came with?
Update: It comes with 14.5. So the 14.6 release this week becomes less likely, unless the Apple Music rumours are real (which I really hope for)!
