My guess is that we get 14.6 RC this week (possibly today) with a public release next Monday for the release of new watch bands and watch face on 5/25. The new Apple Music features could be activated server side for those with 14.6
No apple said 14.6 is coming in June so we are a few weeks away
Nailed it (partially at least). Public should be out next week.

Guess we will have to wait until June…
Not necessarily. They could've wrote the release notes before they knew when they were gonna announce the Apple Music stuff. Since the rumor was it was being announced Tuesday, they could've moved it up a day. But who knows.

"The tvOS 14.6 update adds support for new Apple Music features, including Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos and Lossless Audio."

Going to see if I can't find any Atmos tracks. :)

(so, should pretty much be a given that the iOS RC would also have the updates for the new Apple Music features).

...goes to check if there's a MacOS beta update.

Since the higher tiered Apple Music isn’t launching until “June 2021”, I’d say we won’t see 14.6 for at least two weeks.
With an RC release today, maybe they’ll have the official release next Friday the 28th? I was thinking the 4th would make more sense (lining up with the whole “June” thing). And I’m not sure people will want to deal with an update over Memorial Day weekend.

Official release's probably going to be on the 25th or before that. The new Pride watch face requires a software update and the watch bands available on the 25th has an App Clip that links to the new Pride watch face.

For all those saying iOS 14.6 isn’t coming until June..
The launch of Apple Lossless/Dolby Atmos Audio isn’t tied to the release date of iOS 14.6 and is a server side flick of the switch.. iOS14.6 is just required for the decompression/processing elements that are included.
iOS14.6 should be released next week as per usual on the RC to public release.

Nothing in release notes about the Apple Music Lossless and Spatial Audio stuff.

June is the release of the Lossless & Spatial Audio/Dolby Atmos within Apple Music. iOS 14.6, which will be out next week provides the software support for when Apple flick the switch on their end to enable the features/music.
