Hmm iPad Pro 11" 2018 has it downloading. 11Pro Max is not seeing it yet. Come on Apple Servers!

Edit: NM, now showing. Weirdly the phone is still showing it labelled as Public Beta again, whereas my iPad is Developer Beta, both using the same profile.

GM next week and apple watch series 6 announcement or does this beta pretty much confirm neither is happening? 🤔

If it were an "a" build, I'd think the chances of next week being a GM would be more likely. We have seen "b" builds become GM's and go on to become public releases though. But if the product video/event is rumored for 9/8, then the potential product launch could be on 9/18. That means iOS 14 public would launch on 9/16 or as late as 9/18, so we'd need to see GM by 9/10 or 9/14. So either GM by 9/10, or beta 8 next week and GM by 9/14. I'm just not sure they'd squeeze in an 8th beta in-between beta 7 and GM, given Labor Day is late this year.

Of course if the 9/8 rumor isn't true, then we really have no guesstimate.

I don't remember how many 13.0 had, but also keep in mind that the 13.1 beta came out before the 13.0 release did 😂

iOS 13 had 8 betas, but since 13.1 was the actual real public release, and had 4 betas, you may want to add those together meaning 12 in total.

Looks like 8 (or 9 if GM is counted) for iOS 13.0, not sure if that necessarily implies much one way or another for iOS 14.0: http://www.thinkybits.com/blog/iOS-versions/

Yea, it's nice to look at, but not really a good way to judge how many 14 will get. It'll be down to Apple's expected launch date and how stable the build is.

Some people need to remember that not every bug is fixed before GM either.

The other interesting thing is that the last beta for iOS 13 was in beta for 29 days before the GM dropped. The last beta for other major iOS releases have typically been around two weeks or more before the GM.
