I just don’t get it. It’s on the last page, it’s not like it’s getting in the way or anything.
Agreed, some don’t like it there at all. I would just like to be able to move things around. All this stuff is a work in progress so maybe more flexibility is coming down at a later date.

No lag for me. They'll release it (not because of me, but because I'm sure its ok for most as I've only seen sporadic complaints on that).
I actually didn’t have any until yesterday. But I’m switching to Android on Wednesday, LOL

Yeh I guess we shall see what’s up with iOS 14 tomorrow good night guys and let the games begin

My clock widget doesn't keep good time either but while the widget looks nice I'm not seeing the value of having two clocks on the screen, little one up top is good enough. I'm looking forward to getting some good third party widgets someday💤

I don’t think we get a GM candidate this year. I think we will see the release iOS 14 by the end of the week. The fact that Apple is allowing app updates this early before tomorrow never happens.
They aren't 'real' iOS 14 app updates since we haven't even had a GM of XCode yet and none of the new features can currently be supported e.g. widgets, developers can releases fixes for new OS's as long as they don't use any new API's etc.

I still fully expect a GM so that developers can be ready for iOS 14.

No, I don't think they could release it as a GM with the keyboard lag on the Messages app.
So you are no early adopter? I can‘t name a single major release that didn‘t have issues like keyboard lag or other annoyances. They‘ll ship the GM with issues, whether it‘s the same build as B8 or a few tiny steps ahead, doesn‘t matter.

We‘re too late into the beta cycle to see any bug fixes or tweaks we requested. Stuff like resizing widgets placed on the home screen also wont make the cut until 14.x, I‘m 100% certain.

Every single year we have people saying they won’t release due to whatever minor bugs are present and every year they release as usual.

Apple always have another update around a week after the public release to clear up some of the issues.

The certainty of Apple releasing a GM seed is similar to that of death and taxes. It will be coming out, no questions asked. 🤣

Also, we will see new phones at the keynote. It would be a huge flop if not, and given the pandemic, people want something to be excited over.

To me, it's not that it's in the way, it's just not needed. I've always been able to do my own categorization of apps by making my own folders on what ever page I want. Apple's categorization does not necessarily match mine. I'm fine with the alphabetical list and the search.

This. If it were just the list, I wouldn't have a problem with it. I already group my apps in folders, I don't need or want the redundancy.

Correction: should be Sept. 16th, not tomorrow. Or 17th in China time

Again, not happening, developers have not had a GM version of XCode, which means they haven’t been able to submit final apps to review, which means we won’t have any apps supporting iOS 14 features at release.

There is close to a 0% chance of iOS 14 being released to the public in the next day or two.

I was just sharing some info I got. Believe it or not it’s up to you. As I said, let’s wait and see
