Disappearing Siri Suggestions on swipe down - still not fixed since ios 14. Bummer.

Took a 30 second prores video. Constant stutter. More garbage from Apple.
Some folks' posts are 90% negative. They should probably switch from Apple.
No kidding. They upgrade and while the phone is still "settling in" start using high end, memory intensive features, which may not be running optimally while the phone is still "settling in". That's why I have an Ignore button ... and use it.

My notifications are acting weird. I've a personal and work focus mode created, 24/7 there's an focus modes active and on both modes I've allowed Slack to push the notifications through. This works, but the notifications are showing up on my iPhone instead on my Watch while every other app I've allowed arrives on my Watch instead phone. Already tried to reinstall the specific apps, reset iPhone and Watch settings even tried a clean install. Which surprisingly doesn't work either. It's getting me crazy ?.

Already reported it through the feedback app a week ago but still no response on that

Yep. Constructive criticism is perfectly fine — we all want Apple to do better (and sometimes they even listen!). But if the experience of using Apple hardware and software is really as miserable as some of these folks lead us to believe based on their posts here, they probably really are better off just cutting their losses and jumping over to Android and Windows. Seriously.

I’m probably exaggerating. Nonetheless it takes way too long during that portion of the update. The actual install doesn’t bother me.
What is it doing during the “preparing update” stage that takes twice as long as the actual installation?

I really notice that on OTA updates, but IPSW literally download the file in 20mins, 10-15mins to instal, doesn’t hang on anything. Preparing iPhone takes a couple of mins, I think, haven’t really paid much attention because it’s so quick.

Using a MBP.

...and making these threads less unpleasant and/or toxic to read.

Is this true? I feel like maybe it's better for itunes to install the entire firmware from the ground up instead of in patches like OTA, no?

Yes your right.

IPSW is a cleaner way to install any iOS. It wipes the operating system and installs a fresh copy. OTA just replaces files and it’s not that great at cleaning up after itself.

I'm not saying that OTA updates aren't doing something different with regards to how they clean up after an install or anything, but all you're doing with a local IPSW update is using a full copy of the OS as the source to update the same OS components that the OTA delta image (which is also an IPSW, just a smaller one) updates — it's still not replacing anything that hasn't actually been updated between the old and new versions, it just happens to have the rest of the OS available in case it's being used to restore the device rather than update it.

EDIT: I stand corrected — OTA updates are actually ZIP files!

Has anyone noticed that since iOS 15.0 the volume knob on the lockscreen doesn't work with airplay during playback? When I try to change the volume, it goes down 0 and the knob is unresponsive. I have to use buttons or click on a "volume bar" to have it I updated to 15.1 and the problem is still there. Tried on iPhone 11 on 15.1 iPhone 13 Pro on iOS 15.02. It's not happening on iPad mini 4 running iPadOS 15.1 beta. It's OK when I'm playing music, etc. on device...

It all depends on where you got the Covid Vac. Not all states or providers in those states use the same reporting program. There is not a uniform program and only 1 works with the iPhone/Health App. Only about 4-5 states in the US if I remember correctly.
I am not even in a state that was mentioned in the feature(Indiana) so I was glad to see the option in my provider's App. Apple added instructions for adding to Wallet on their site: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT212752

Each of us have our preferred way and I know that’s yours. But time wise it’s similar for me OTA. About 2 minutes to download, preparing and verifying under 10 and final installation about 5, maybe close to 10 on a big one. I haven’t done it any other way since OTA became a thing.
