I'd be really appreciative if someone can test this

Add a reminders widget to your Home Screen. Then select it and choose "edit Reminders"

Can you change it from anything other than Inbox? Mac works, iPad works... IP15PM does not allow changing the list

Can you post some screenshots? I can’t get “edit reminders” to come up and when I do get the lists of reminders to come up, I seem to be able to change them fine.

So what happens is..

  • Create stack, add a reminders list. For some reason, mine defaulted to "business"
  • if reminders is showing in the widget, select edit reminders (otherwise, you need to edit stack and choose the reminders widget)
  • Once you edit reminders, mine is showing "inbox" while I have no inbox list and it is still on the reminders list
Edit to add... the last pic is the Lock Screen widget, where I typically have "scheduled".. editing the widget asked to search for list, nothing I type there does anything

Does anyone have a 15 Pro Max? There's the most irritating bug that popped up sometime after 17.0, and is still there in this version. There's a dead-spot when swiping down over the dynamic island to pull your notification window down. It only happens when you swipe down starting a little to left of center above the dynamic island (the island will swell up like you tapped it, and notifications won't pull down). Intermittent, so only happens sporadically. Can reproduce on two 15 Pro Max, my personal phone and my work phone. Doesnt seem to be a problem on the regular 15 Pro, just the Pro Max.

Does this beta—or any of the betas—fix the low volume alert issue for apps that don’t have their own alert sound? Fixed meaning it’s either more audible or you can change the alert sound.

Location services of the system services are reset again after the update.
Do you have an Apple Watch by chance? If so, see which undesired System Services are enabled on the Watch, then use your iPhone’s Settings to turn them off by toggling on and then off (since I’m quite sure they aren’t configurable on the watch itself). This finally fixed the System Services resetting bug for me before I ditched my Apple Watch. Now those toggles—including the oft-dreaded Significant Locations—stay where they should.

Sorry if I didn’t articulate clearly enough, but I’d just give it a play and see if you and others can maybe remedy the situation for yourselves. And if you don’t have an Apple Watch I’m not sure what to tell you but I’d still maybe try playing around with the Location settings a bit. Good luck.

Fun and perhaps undesired fact: The only System Services I have enabled now are Emergency Calls & SOS, Wi-Fi Calling, System Personalization, and Setting Time Zone—the barest of essentials in case I need first-responders to know where I am and so that Night Shift automatically turns on and off with my local sunrise/sunset. No, I no longer use Find My…probably effects a good bit of battery drain and because I have AppleCare+ with Theft & Loss I’ll take the risk of being a responsible adult with my possessions.

I cant replicate on mine

Were you downgrading or updating?

Was trying to do either just to get out of the boot loop. Phone was running 17.1 b2 when it crashed and got into the boot loop. I kept getting error 4013 whenever I tried to downgrade to 17.0.3 or reinstall 17.1 b2.

Wonder if they're ever going to fix the ProMotion destroying gaming frame rates bug that they introduced in OS 16. What's the point of me continuing to buy M2, M3, etc. when the capable hardware cannot be visually utilized due to software making games run horribly.

Yes you’re right. The settings are the same and can only changed on the iPhone.

I experience this on my 14PM running 17.0.3.

I’m not sure it’s a bug. It might be that the DI is designed to assume that any contact is intended to interact with the DI. There is very little space between the top of the DI and the top of the display. It is hard for me to initiate a swipe down from the top without part of my finger touching the DI.

Work around: when swiping down from the top of the screen, start to the left of the DI.

This seems to me to be the correct answer.

How can you tell if you have a credible backup of an earlier version. I plan to go back to iOS 17.0.3 tonight. I was on iOS 17.0.2 before going on beta.

As mentioned in the other thread on this topic, nice find. Turning Bluetooth off and putting the iPhone in airplane mode allows it to sync quickly and transfer most logs like before iOS 17.
I shut down my Apple Watch and then attempted a sync. That popped up a message that some software needed to be downloaded to my Mac. After that completed the sync began but stalled out on step 2 as before. However as mentioned in the Reddit thread I disconnected my phone from the cable and then reconnected. The sync completed normally for the first time since I got my 15PM on release day. However logs are not removed from either my iPad or phone during a sync, they are copied over but all remain on the devices. That, from other conversations I’ve had, changed with iOS 17, bug or by design who knows.

However I did not put my phone in Airplane mode nor turn Bluetooth off. Just turning my watch off before connecting the phone seems to have kick started the process.

This seems to me to be the correct answer.
Since first getting a phone with the Dynamic Island when it originally appeared I’ve never been able to swipe down over it to pull down the Lock Screen/Notification Center. I have always swiped down over the time display to the left of the DI. That always works.
